Tuesday, June 1 We were blessed to visit with Rickie’s
English class and share In Touch Messengers with each of them.
Rickie also teaches a preschool class at the church and Barb, Kaci and Jacob went with her. Jacob and Kaci taught the children the etiquette of “shaking hands.”
The afternoon was spent in another beautiful part of Japan, the seashore. We visited one of the three most scenic sights in Japan, the land bridge.

Amanohashidate (a land bridge)
Amanohashidate, meaning "bridge in the heaven", is a 3.6 kilometer long, pine tree covered sand bar, spanning across Miyazu Bay on the Tango Peninsula.
It is ranked as one of Japan's three most scenic views.

Wednesday, June 2Flying home…or so we thought! The flight from Osaka to Tokyo was uneventful. However, after flying six hours from Tokyo, the plane developed engine problems and we returned to Tokyo. Twelve hours of flying for nothing! Praise God we made it back safely though. Our second attempt was successful and we arrived home safe but sad to leave such a beautiful nation. We will continue to pray for the people of Japan.
