Climate of Japan Japans geographical features
divide into six principal
climate zones:
1. Hokkaido- Northern zone Has temperate climate long cold winters and cool
summers. Precipitation is not heavy.
2. Sea of Japan- On Honshus westcoast
-Northwest wind in thewinter-time brings
heavy snowfall. -In the summer, the region is
cooler than the pacific area.

large temperature differencesbetween summer and winter.
Precipitation is light.
4. Seto Inland Sea
