Question 1
My first question I asked on my survey was ‘what
is your opinion on homelessness?’
I didn’t get very good answers that would help
me in any way, as you can see, they are mostly
something along the lines of ‘dunno’.
This in some ways shows that the generation I am
from don’t really think about it too much, it isn’tseen as a problem in their life.

Question 2
For question 2 on my survey, I asked the
question ‘is there enough help for homeless
teenagers?’. Then I gave them the option of
choosing yes or no.
71.43% of people chose yes, there is enough
help for homeless teenagers, and the rest
chose no.I also gave people who chose yes to tell me
what kind of help is given to homeless
teenagers, but once again, they just said ‘I
don’t know’.

Question 3
For question 3, I asked the question ‘Is
there any positives to been homeless?’
I gave them a choice of ‘yes’ or ‘no’, and
whatever they answered, they had to give
me a reason for it. I didn’t really get manysensible answers for this, but I did find out
that 71.43% thought that there was
something positive about being homeless,
and 28.57% thought there wasn’t.

Question 4
For question four, I asked the question
‘have you ever heard about SASH?’
For this question, I got 25% yes and 75%
no, which in SASH’s case, is a problem,
because this shows that the majority of
people have never heard of them.
This means that there is not a huge
amount of teens that know about it, so
there will no doubt be homeless teens out
there not knowing where to go on a night.

Question 5
For question five, I asked the question ‘would
you allow a homeless person stay at your
house?’
Once again, 75% of people said no, and 25%
of people said yes. This shows, that a lot of people with a free
room in their house wouldn’t even give it up
to a homeless person for a few nights, which
is a negative thing because you can’t provide
for a homeless person if there is no house to
put them in.

Question 6
For question 6. I asked the question ‘would
you help a homeless a person?’
62.5% of people said yes, and 37.5% said
they wouldn’t.
This is unusual, because in the last question Iasked if they would allow a homeless person
stay at their house, and the majority said
they wouldn’t allow that. That would be
seen as helping a homeless person, but
obviously people just think that helping a
homeless person is giving them a few copper
coins, rather than giving them a bed to sleep
in.

Question 7
For question seven, I asked the question
‘would you help a homeless person if you
knew them?’
75% of people said yes, and 25% of people
said no.
This is a positive, because at least people
will help people they know if they are in
need.

Question 8
For question eight, I asked the question ‘where
would you go if you were homeless?’ I then
made it an open answer, so they could
comment whatever they wanted.
I got a mix of answers ranging for sensible
ones like ‘Arc Light’, to not so sensible ones like‘just kill myself’ of ‘home’.
This shows that a lot of the people who did my
survey weren’t at a very mature level.

Question 9
For question nine, I asked the question ‘where
are you from?’
I then made it an open answered comment
question, so they could comment whatever they
wanted, just like question eight.
The majority of the answers were sensible, andsaid ‘York’ but then there were other ones that
answered my question with another question
saying ‘Where are you from?’

Question 10
For my last question, asked the question ‘how old
are you?’
To prevent people commenting stupid things, I
narrowed it down to tick boxes ranging from ‘16-
24’ and then one more just saying ‘other’ because
they are not relevant.
Considering a lot of the previous answers I had
received were pretty immature, the majority of
them were 18.
