26th Sunday in Ordinary Time Our human nature finds it very difficult to accept God’s way of doing things as “just.” Many of Jesus’ parables tell us that God does not judge things the way we would. God knows our hearts and understands our struggles in a way that even we don’t understand ourselves, much less anyone else. There is nothing to be gained by trying to measure our “goodness” nor in comparing it to others. Our focus should be on how well we are trying to follow Jesus and leave the rest in the hands of our merciful God.

Your ways, O Lord, make known to me; teach me your paths.

Breaking Bread Missals for 2021

We have ordered fewer books for the next Liturgical season due to the uncertainty of this Covid pandemic and we cannot leave books in the pews like we have done in the past. We are offering parishioners the chance to buy a Breaking Bread that you can bring to Mass, however, it must be taken with you when you leave Mass. They will be sold for $10.00 per book. If interested contact the parish office at 541-756-0633, ext 2. They’ll be disbursed in late November before in time for Advent. You can sign up now and pay later. It will be “first come, first serve. “

October’s Give Us This Day Books are ready to be picked up. They are in the Sacristy. You can get your copy before or after Mass or when parish office is open 10am to 2pm Monday through Friday.

Wildfire Relief Fund & Appeal

The Archdiocese of Portland has established a Wildfire Relief Fund to help parishes and people impacted by the devastating wildfires in western Oregon. Collected funds will be distributed to parishes in need, especially those directly assisting people who have lost homes, been displaced and otherwise impacted by the fires.

All parishes are asked to participate in this Appeal to support the parishes and communities impacted by the wildfires. Little Books The wait is over! The wonderful Little Book devotionals will start again for Advent. This year, due to limited social contact, please pre-order by either dropping off your $5 check (made out to Catholic Daughters) or cash in an envelope labeled “Little Books order” to the parish office during regular business hours. Please include your name and phone number. You will receive 3 booklets during the year, one each for Advent, Lent and the Easter season. You will be notified when they are ready for pickup.
