Good People of Holy Cross, On Father’s Day notice how the life of

the father can be both beautiful, interesting and at the same time be extremely challenging and difficult. Appreciate and applaud your Dad for being a wonderful person in your life!

Any fool can be a Father, but it takes a real man to be a Daddy!!

The most important thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother.

My father gave me the greatest gift anyone could give another person, he believed in me.

A father carries pictures where his money used to be. A man knows when he is growing old because he begins to

look like his father. By the time a man realizes that maybe his father was right,

he usually has a son who thinks he's wrong. When a child is born, a father is born. A mother is born, too

of course, but at least for her it's a gradual process. Body and soul, she has nine months to get used to what's happening. She becomes what's happening. But for even the best-prepared father, it happens all at once. On the other side of a plate-glass window, a nurse is holding up something roughly the size of a loaf of bread for him to see for the first time.

4 years: My Daddy can do anything! 7 years: My Dad knows a lot…a whole lot. 8 years: My father does not know quite everything. 12 years: Oh well, naturally Father does not know that either. 14 years: Oh, Father? He is hopelessly old-fashioned. 21 years: Oh, that man-he is out of date! 25 years: He knows a little bit about it, but not much. 30 years: I must find out what Dad thinks about it. 40 years: Before we decide, we will get Dad's idea first. 50 years: What would Dad have thought about that? 60 years: My Dad knew literally everything! 75 years: I wish I could talk it over with Dad once more.

One night a father overheard his son pray: “Dear God, make me the kind of man my Daddy is.” Later that night, the Father prayed, “Dear God, make me the kind of man my son wants me to be.”

Gente Buena de Holy Cross, En el Día del Padre, observa cómo la vida

del padre puede ser hermosa, interesante y, al mismo tiempo, extremadamente desafiante y difícil. ¡Aprecia y aplaude a tu papá por ser una persona maravillosa en tu vida!

¡Cualquier tonto puede ser padre, pero se necesita un hombre de verdad para ser papá!

Lo más importante que un padre puede hacer por sus hijos es amar a la madre de éstos.

Mi padre me dio el mejor regalo que cualquiera podría darle a otra persona, él creyó en mí.

Un padre lleva fotos donde solía estar su dinero. Un hombre sabe cuándo envejece porque comienza a

parecerse a su padre. Cuando un hombre se da cuenta de que tal vez su padre

tenía razón, generalmente tiene un hijo que piensa que está equivocado.

Cuando nace un niño, nace un padre. Nace una madre, por supuesto, pero al menos para ella es un proceso gradual. En cuerpo y alma, tiene nueve meses para acostumbrarse a lo que está sucediendo. Ella se convierte en lo que está sucediendo. Pero incluso para el padre mejor preparado, todo sucede de una sola vez. En el otro lado de una ventana de cristal, una enfermera está sosteniendo algo aproximadamente del tamaño de una barra de pan para que él lo vea por primera vez.

4 años: ¡Mi papá puede hacer cualquier cosa! 7 años: Mi papá sabe mucho... mucho. 8 años: Mi padre no lo sabe todo. 12 años: Oh, bueno, naturalmente, Papá tampoco lo

primero. 50 años: ¿Qué hubiera pensado papá al respecto? 60 años: ¡Mi papá sabía literalmente todo! 75 años: Ojalá pudiera hablarlo con papá una vez más. Una noche, un padre escuchó a su hijo orar: "Querido Dios,

hazme el tipo de hombre que es mi papá". Más tarde esa noche, el Padre oró: "Querido Dios, hazme el tipo de hombre que mi hijo quiere que sea".

Holy Cross Summer Blood Drive Dear Friends,

What a weekend!! On Friday, with a goal of 60, we collected 76 units of blood. On Saturday, with a goal of 60, we collected 79. So for the weekend, with a goal of collecting 120 units of blood, we collected 155!

On top of that, on Saturday, we passed a milestone. With our collection of the weekend’s 108th unit of blood, Holy Cross, over the last 10 years, has now saved over 10,000 lives! This is wonderful and at the same time

amazing! YOU made this happen! I want to thank our donors, especially this time. Let’s be honest, there was a certain level of risk involved in giving this time. Our wonderful donors chose to see beyond that risk and to focus on the “good” that

would happen by getting involved. And that’s a really “GOOD” thing!

Queridos amigos, ¡¡Qué fin de semana!! El viernes, con un objetivo de 60, recolectamos 76 unidades de

sangre. El sábado, con una meta de 60, recolectamos 79. Entonces, para el fin de semana, con la meta de recolectar 120 unidades de sangre, ¡recolectamos 155!

Además de eso, el sábado, pasamos una meta. Con nuestra colección de 108 unidades de sangre del fin de semana, Holy Cross, en los últimos 10 años, ¡ahora ha salvado más de 10,000 vidas! ¡Esto es maravilloso y al

HOLY CROSS WOMEN’S CLUB $500 SCHOLARSHIP DRAWING A scholarship of $500 dollars will be awarded to one graduating high school senior to be used for college, technical school or missionary expenses. REQUIREMENTS: Graduating high school senior, registered member of Holy Cross (minimum of one year from deadline) Must have a minimum of 5 service hours for a Holy Cross ministry during the senior year. DEADLINE: All documentation of service hours with completed application must be submitted to the Parish Office no later than 4 pm on July 1, 2020. PARISH NEWS Part-time youth minister Holy Cross Catholic Church in Atlanta, is seeking a part-time youth minister for middle school and high school youth. Responsibilities include coordinating weekly catechetical sessions, assisting volunteer catechists and providing ongoing communications with parents. The youth minister must be a self-starter, a strong communicator and have good organizational skills. They must be a practicing Roman Catholic, with knowledge of Catholic Liturgy and sacramental requirements. Also this person must have experience facilitating Virtual Teleconferencing classes, Thursday and Sunday evenings.
