Chef Jordi Vallés, handpicked by HPH for his excellent background and more than 20 years in the food industry, will lead this urban culinary experience . Chef Jordi brings a global palate and experience to Le District with previous experience at the St . Regis in Bal Harbour Resort as well as

other top establishments around the world .

ICRAVE, an internationally renowned design firm, will realize the urban aesthetic look and feel for Le District . Going beyond a traditional neighborhood bodega, ICRAVE’s design encourages guests to discover, browse and engage in an experience full of unexpected surprises and curated goods . The design sets the stage for an active urban market, unlike any other, that feeds off city energy and enlivens the downtown area .

Peter Poulakakos and Paul Lamas, of HPH restaurant group, are slated to open Le District in Brookfield Place at the World Financial Center . Le District will be located at 255 Liberty Street and projects to open in several phases will begin November 2014 and continue through March 2015 .

Le District will be an expansive French inspired culinary destination for lower Manhattan residents, business professionals and tourists alike . Lillet can be served as an aperitif or as a stand-out ingredient to a cocktail . As a classic aperitif, Lillet is typically served as a 4oz . pour over ice in a wine or aperitif-style glass, garnished with an orange or grapefruit slice . An aperitif is served to open one’s appetite before a meal, and serving Lillet to friends and family before a holiday feast is a festive alternative to the traditional champagne or Prosecco starter . Debuting in September 2014, Lillet will release their limited edition Reserve Jean de Lillet 2010 . Maison Lillet was established in 1872 by wine merchants Paul and Raymond Lillet in Podensac, France in the Bordeaux region . Lillet French Aperitif is a distinctive blend of wine from Bordeaux and house-made, secret recipe citrus liqueur, crafted using sweet orange peels from Spain and bitter oranges from Haiti . Two-thirds of the wine-and-liqueur liquid ferments in aged French oak barrels, while one-third ferments in new oak barrels, and the aging takes one year . Variants in the beloved portfolio include Lillet Blanc, Lillet Rouge, and Lillet Rosé, which launched in 2012 .

Lillet Blanc has a golden color and a floral nose with hints of honey, candied orange, lime, and fresh mint . Lillet Rouge has a ruby color, a raspberry nose and contains hints of blackberry, cherry vanilla, cinnamon, cardamom, and ginger . Lillet Rosé has a blush rose color with hints of ripe summer berries, wildflowers, melon and stone fruit, as well as the traditional sweet and bitter citrus notes .
