What happened to
Summer???
Our annual elections were
held after the Member/
Member tournament on No-
vember 14th during our stag
nite. Three new men were
elected to the board : Marty
Conway, Rick Walton, and
Doug Eastman. Congratula-
tions to those gentlemen. We
would like to thank Jay Ber-
nardoni, Tom Fleming, and
Allan Howa for their service
on the board the past two
years.
Our Men’s Club is in full
swing this season as we have
added a new 2-person in De-
cember named the OMGC
Best Ball Classic. The tourna-
ment will be held over two
days on December 11th &
12th. Format is where two
teams compete. Two-person
teams will compete against
three other teams within their
flight for nine holes. The win-
ners of each flight will then
play in a shootout Monday af-
ternoon on the Canyons Vista
9 (Back 9). The shootout will
determine one winner for the
entire tournament. Good luck
to everyone. We will be ex-
pecting a total of 32 teams.
Our men’s club would like
to extend a sincere thank you
for Randy on all his years here
at Oasis Golf Club. His
hard work and dedication
towards making this a
great club for members
and guests has far exceed-
ed anyone’s expectations.
We hope him all the best
in his retirement.
Just a reminder to check
out all the winners in the
four flights during mem-
ber/member on page 4 of
this newsletter. Complete
results are posted on the
men’s koffee kup site and
the oasis’ website under
the OMGC heading on the
homepage.

To maintain the healthiness of the
turf, most notably the overseeded
fairways and greens, starting times
will be moved back this year to
avoid any further damage done by
carts. We have kept our cutting
heights up to absorb some of the
wear and tear. We have also in-
creased fertility application this
past fall as well to the combat the
issue.
Please note that players are re-
stricted to go out in the morning
and start on random holes. There
has been abuse of this especially
failing to notify the golf shop. This
concept of going out wherever and
whenever in the morning time when
the grounds crew is preparing the
golf course will not be suggested

anymore. During the afternoons is
not an issue but still notify the golf
shop. Thank you for your coopera-
tion and understanding.
The members have been extremely
generous in the past during this time
of year donating used items to our
grounds crew staff. Between the
times of Thanksgiving to Christmas
you can drop off donated items to
our maintenance shop located just to
the west of #2 Palmer teebox off of
Turtleback road. The shop is open
from the times of 6am-2pm. Please
do not buy items to give to the staff,
we are just asking for donations.
Thank you very much for helping
out our staff
Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!
Christmas Giving Tree
For the 2nd consecutive year,
both Challeen (Beverage Cart
Manager) and Melodie will be or-
ganizing a “Christmas Giving
Tree”.
On behalf of the Oasis Golf
Club and its staff, we are asking to
help makes a child’s Christmas a
memorable one. All donations to
the Oasis Giving Tree are for the
less fortunate children residing in
Mesquite. The tree is located right
by Melodie’s office in the golf shop
Here is how the Giving Tree Works:
1) Select a child’s name card from the
tree. Give one copy to the golf shop
and take one copy for your shopping
information.
2) We are requesting a target price of
$50/child. This will assure that fam-
ilies of multiple children will receive
a gift of the same value.
3) Please bring unwrapped donations to
the golf shop by December 11th.
4) If you purchase clothing, please in-
clude a gift receipt with the dona-
tions.
5) If you purchase a gift card we are
requesting you purchase from a local
business in Mesquite. Majority of
children will not have transportation
out of town.
THANK YOU SO MUCH
FOR YOUR CONSIDERA-
TION IN PARTICIPATING
