    stopping or refueling.

    It took off from Edwards Air Force Base's15,000 foot (4,600 m) runway in theMojave Desert on December 14, 1986.Their flight ended successfully 9 days, 3

    minutes and 44 seconds later.

    Boeing 787 Dreamliner

    More than 50 airlines have logged more than 800

    orders and commitments for the 787 since its launch inApril 2004, making the Dreamliner the most successfulcommercial airplane launch in history.

    At Mach 0.85 (or approx 888 kms per hour), the 787 willbe among the fastest commercial airplanes from Boeingusing 20% less fuel.

    Scheduled to enter service in 2011 it will carry between210 and 330 passengers depending on configuration

    On December 15, 2009, Boeing conducted the
