MEET THE PRESENTER

Robert Hackenson Jr. - Professional Speaker & Edutainer

After graduating from Western New England University, Robert Hackenson Jr. earned his MBA and Certificate in Advanced Organizational Leadership (CAOL) from Nichols College. Robert is also a professional magician and studied Neural Linguistic Programming (NLP), body language, and became a Certified Hypnotist through the National Guild of Hypnotists.

DYNAMIC INFLUENCE IS FOUNDED

In 2004 Rob founded Dynamic Influence after seeing a unique opportunity to use his dynamic skills of magic and illusions to engage and educate. It is his belief that merely lecturing to students results in glazed eyes, and the important messages are lost. Instead, Rob “edutains” students by delivering educational messages that are embedded into entertainment, making them both enjoyable and memorable.

A SPEAKER THAT WILL BE REMEMBERED

Schools across the country are raving about Rob’s presentations. Although there are several speakers that focus on substance awareness, no one can compete with Rob’s dynamic delivery and memorable performance. He has a unique way of truly connecting with your students and speaks with them instead of at them. The topics and scenarios covered during this presentation are ones that your students will be able to relate to and the important lessons will be remembered.

PRESS

Rob’s unique speaking approach on important topics has also earned him numerous appearances on the Fox Morning Show, featured articles in the Boston Herald and other local media outlets across the country.

THE ISSUE

Although students know the possible consequences of substance use and abuse, every year students continue to make poor choices that ruin lives, destroy aspirations, and cause pain and heartache. They may believe that “it’s never going to happen to me,” or are acting on common misperception of what they are “expected to do”. This presentation helps your students see through certain misperceptions and negative influences, to think first and make smart decisions.

This unique program was created in a way that tailors life-saving messages to which your students not only relate to, but will remember long after it ends.

The Presentation Has Three Focal Points:

1. Having the students think about what they want to achieve in life.

2. Emphasizing the challenges of making the right decisions when it comes to using substances.

3. Showing the students how to navigate through common misperceptions and negative influences in order to reach their goals.

THE DYNAMIC DIFFERENCE

No Glazed Eyes! Professional “edutainer” Rob Hackenson Jr. specializes in educational entertainment. As we all know, when students are bored they are not listening to the important lessons. This is why he is more than a “talking head,” simply lecturing to the students.

Rob’s “edutainment” will captivate your audience. He will have your them on the edge of their seats, laughing hysterically, gasping in amazement, or sitting in sobering silence reflecting on the important messages. The presentation uses:

- Mind Magic & illusions - Videos - Audience participation - True heart-wrenching stories

PRESENTATION OUTLINE

The “Ladder” of Life

- 8 ft ladder is pulled out of a suitcase & common life goals are hung on the rungs.

Possible Consequences - Your students provide the possible consequences from substance abuse and how it could affect their goals. These typically include:

- Injury/Death - Arrested - Addiction - Pregnancy / STDs - Kicked out of school - Embarrassing post on social media

Excuses to Use & Abuse - Students know the consequences, but still choose to use and abuse… Why? Your students provide the excuses, which typically include:

- Fun - Stress - Depressed - Everybody else is doing it (Peer Pressure)

Peer Pressure – Edutaining skit shows how a poor decision can be made in a split second when under pressure from peers.

Power of Perception – students often base their actions on false perceptions and illusions of what they believe “teens are suppose to do.”

A crazy illusion and movie clip are used to demonstrate the power of perception.

How to Avoid Making Bad Choices. – Magic effect where student agrees to be punched in the face depending on a coin flip. (Don’t worry, there’s no risk!)

Sobering Stories – a few true stories are told to show how poor decisions can have a lasting effect, and not only effect you, but others as well.

Mind Magic - Unveils an unbelievable chain of events that shows students making the right decisions.

Be a Positive Influencer – Lead by example in making smart choices.
