House System Introduction!

Hi guys! I’m Miss Lacey, and I’ll hopefully

be seeing you lots in September. I lead

the House system where I give rewards

and host fun house competitions.

What are Houses?You are assigned a House at Maltby Academy (just like in Harry Potter).

There are four Houses;

You will have your House colour on your tie! Your House is your team. You will work together and support each other to achieve your goals… which also give you prizes!

You will be rewarded based on; attendance, attitude to learning, and House Points. At the end of each term and at the end of the year, there will be big rewards and celebration assembly's to congratulate you!

House Week

There are new competitions each week organised by different departments called ‘House Week’. This will be online this year on Show My Homework.

You can win ‘House Points’ for just taking part... But, if you place 1st 2nd or 3rd you win lots of house points in one go!

Throughout the year, there are different House events for you to get involved

in from sport competition to quizzes.

(There is something on offer for everyone!)

ALL who take part get points, but if

you come 1st 2nd or 3rd you can

earn 50, 40 and 30 points

respectively.

Check your house points, when you hit a new

level get form tutor to email Miss Lacey.

Miss Lacey will give you rewards

ticket during form.

You can trade in for prize at rewards shop

(currently with Miss Lacey).

You don’t lose any points when you spend at the

shop, just keep working up the levels!

CharitiesThis year, each house nominated a chosen charity to support.

Students ran bake sales, a valentines sweet delivery service and more! It was

amazing to raise money for charity, and we all had fun doing it. If you have any

ideas of charity events you would like to run/take part in. Find me in September

and we’ll sort it together.
