How do we know

He’s alive?

1. EXECUTION•Jesus REALLY DIED by EXECUTION when he was crucified on the cross.•Some claim he only fainted.•It was the Roman centurion’s job to ensure death.

2. EARLY•The accounts of Christ’s death, burial & resurrection are dated EARLY, when they could still be confirmed by eyewitnesses.•As little as 2-3 years later!

3. EMPTY•The tomb of Jesus was really EMPTY, when the women came Easter morning.•There was no mistake.•No one had a reason to steal the body•His opponents never argued the fact

4. EYEWITNESSES•There were over 500 eyewitnesses who saw Him alive.•Over a period of 40 days•About a dozen unique appearances.•They became convinced!

5. EMPOWERED•The Apostles were EMPOWERED by their belief in a risen Lord.•Before, they were dejected, fearful•After, they boldly proclaimed Jesus as ALIVE, despite persecution.
