Community Outreach Committee has decided to cancel the Farmer's Market booth for now due to lack of interest, help and produce. Fit Wits and Knit Wits will be taking a break until Sept. Watch for announcements for startup dates/times after Labor Day.

It's time to start planning for the Fayette County Fair Parade Float. The county parade theme this year is Hawaiian Paradise. We will need to be lined up and ready to go by 9:00 for Judging and 10:15 for children and those who can't handle the heat. Fair parade is Sept. 3. For more information or if you are interested in helping with the float, please give Bobbie or Juanita a call. ******************************************************************************************************************************** Time to order new church T-Shirts. There is an order blank in the Narthex. Deadline to order Church T-Shirts is Aug 11. If you missed out the last time, this is your chance...and we should have in plenty of time for the Fair Parade. Sample of the ladies V-neck is on display in the Narthex. Also available is a Men's crew neck. For more info, contact Bobbie. You can leave your order form in the offering plate.

The Presbyterian Women's annual Farmland Cluster Meeting will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Gonzales on August 27, at 10:00. Once again, Jean Reese Ollum has made some amazing door prizes and a quilt to be given away. A trio of ladies from Gonzales will be entertaining the group with their beautiful voices, and an overview of the Horizon Bible Study for this year will be part of the program. The offering will benefit the Gonzales Youth Center (which was previously the recipient of a PW grant), and Gonzales's Norma's House for abused children. The meeting concludes after lunch. Please make an effort to attend this gathering to meet and have fellowship with the ladies from neighboring churches.

Resumes Wednesday, August 3rd at 5:00 p.m.

SEWING HELP NEEDED Help is needed with a sewing project for our border mission work with CUPS. We will be packing 300 packets of school supplies on August 19 to send to elementary level children in Mexico. The school supplies have been sent in plastic bags in previous years. This year, the mission team will be trying to make most, if not all, of the 300 needed bags from fabrics. These bags are very simple to make. Linda Grigsby will cut the bags and have them ready to assemble. She will have bundles of 5 bags and include instructions and will have them available in the fellowship hall this very Sunday (like today)! Take as many bundles as you want!! These really are easy to sew if you have a sewing machine and sew even a little bit! We are getting a late start so we only have about a month to sew!! Please help!!! Call Linda if you have questions at 247-4612 or 512-415-9870. And thank you for reading this! Blessings!
