    MORE THAN A MACHINE:

    DECANTERA centriuge decanter; consists o a solid cylindirical bowl rotating at high speed, a scroll rotating at the sameaxis with a slightly dierent speed, a drive group adjusting the speed dierence and the body which carriesall the rotating elements.Liquid and suspended solids are ed along the centre line to a distribution room within the bowl and thenaccelerated into the bowl by centriugal orce through the eeding point. This centriugal orce then causesthe suspended solids to settle and accumulate at the bowl wall.

    Sludge cake is discharged by scroll rom the conical part meanwhile claried liquid ows back along the

    bowl and is discharged through the cylindirical end o the bowl by plates which can adjust the level oclaried liquid.

    Centriuge decanters are applied or separation o liquid mixtures, separation o solid-liquid mixtures,dewatering, thickening, classication o solid-liquid mixtures and extraction o components.

    RIGHT ENGINEERINGSOLUTIONS

    Bowl GroupThe bowl is cylindrical / conic and rotates at a pre-adjusted speed most appropriate

    or the application. Suspension rotates at processing speed along with the bowland orms a concentric layer at bowl perimeter. Solids available in the suspensionaccumulate at bowl perimeter with centriugal orce. The length o the cylindricalsection o the bowl and the conic section angle are adjusted as per the speciccondition o each application.

    Spiral GroupSpiral rotates at a slightly dierent speed than the bowl and conveys the accumulatedsolids to the end o the conic section o the bowl. I the physical properties o themixture change, it is possible to support DESS Decanters with a dierent spiraldesign or by modiying the existing spiral. Spiral step or single or dual wound spiralcongurations are signicant design variables.

    MaterialHAUS uses high quality stainless steel on all suraces that the processed materialcomes in contact with.

    Wear ProtectionDESS Decanters oer a wide range o wear protection products to be applied onmany areas where they are utilized:

    PolyurethaneWear protection parts are in-place replaceable in order to save on maintenance costso applications where high abrasive products are processed.

    Bearing and LubricationSpecial selection and order o bearings ensure long machinery lie and exceptionalreliability. Central lubrication system delivers grease or oil to the bearings. Thelubrication system changes depending on the operation mode, e.g. sectional orcontinuous operation mode and depending on the automation level o the wholesystem.

    Leveling Plates Treated liquids ow over the leveling plates and move orward to the end o thecylindrical section o the bowl o which theyll be delivered to. Easily adjustablesensitive leveling plates enable the pool depth o the bowl to be adjusted precisely.

    The liquid overowing rom the plates is extracted with gravity rom central outletreservoir.

    Constant Speed Drive System

    This system has low investment costs due to very simple design. Thisdrive system is used when the solids amount is constant, the solidscan be conveyed easily and the amount o moisture in the solids is notcritical, which means it is not necessary to adjust the dierential speed.

    Dual Drive System

    Dual Drive provides dierential speed to be adjusted in a wide range.Second motor drives the gearbox input shat and makes the dierentialspeed as a unction o bowl speed and gearbox rate. Required speed

    is adjusted when the solids amount is variable noticeably, it is hard toconvey the solids and it is important to minimize the amount o waterhold in the solids without any human intererence. Dierential speed isadjusted automatically and very precisely as a unction o scroll torque.

    The system is supported by the sotware developed by HAUS.

    Driver System with Hydraulic Motor

    Instead o a mechanical gear, a rotating hydraulic drive is assembled andthis motor is supported with hydraulic regulation. Automatic regulationcan be done with no problem because the dierential speed is directly

    proportional with the amount o the oil transmitted. Driver system withhydraulic motor is used when the solids amount is variable, it is hard toconvey the solids and it is important to minimize the amount o waterlet in the solids.

    Control and AutomationAutomation o DESS Decanters enables personnel- ree operation. Inaddition to the operating variables o the decanter, below unctions canbe also monitored rom main control room:

    Decanter centriuges provide ideal solutions or many dierent processesand industrial applications.
