Through our networks and contacts, we receive referrals on a daily basis. Here is a short FAQ guide

to some of the most common questions asked about Harvard Brown’s referral scheme.

What is A Referral Scheme?

A referral scheme is simply a way of us saying thank you to you for putting us in touch with people or

someone in your network that is interested in recruitment or someone that already works in the

industry looking to advance their career.

How Does the Referral Scheme Work?

Firstly, you will nominate a candidate to speak with us. We will then interview them and if we

successfully place them into a role with one of our clients, we will pay you a referral fee.

What Do I Need to Do?

All you need to do is send the following details with a subject heading of ‘referral’ to us:

Name

Number

Email Address

How Should I Refer People?

The majority of the referrals we receive are via email. However, you can also send details to us

through LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter.

Do I Need to Send Their CV to You?

We do not require their CV from you. Once we’ve received their mobile number, we will call them

and they will directly send their CV to us; making the process more efficient for you.

How Would I Be Remunerated?

Subject to your candidate passing their probation period with our client, we will pay a referral fee

directly into your bank account.

How Are The Fees Calculated?

The referral fees work on a sliding scale that increases up to £500.

1st Successful Candidate = £250

2nd Successful Candidate = £250

3rd+ Successful Candidate = £500

Is There a Limit to How Many People I Can Refer?

No. We are always keen to speak to people who could be or are interested in getting into

recruitment, looking to take their next step in the industry or simply find out more. The more people

you refer, the more money you can earn!

When Do I Get Paid?

You will receive payment three months after your nominated candidate(s) starts work with one of

our clients.

Could You Give Me An Example?

Last Year, Rachel referred two of her friends in March and they started work in May. In August we

paid her £500 as a thank you for those two candidates. She also referred a relative in May, who

started in July. In October we paid her £500 for that referral, to add to her existing £500 for the

previous two. For any future referral Rachel will be paid £500 per person.
