FTA Approves HART's Request to Enter into Final
Design • HART has automatic pre-award authority to move forward with final
design activities, demolition, and other non-construction activities such as the procurement of rails, ties, commodities and other specialized equipment
• The FTA is required by law to evaluate proposed New Starts projects and ensure prospective grant recipients demonstrate the technical, legal, and financial capability to implement the project
• Clears the way for a Letter of No Prejudice to advance construction and to begin work on an agreement with the FTA for a Full Funding Grant Agreement (FFGA)
![Page 25: HART Presentation to Council Jan. 12](https://reader038.fdocuments.us/reader038/viewer/2022103115/557876b2d8b42a14628b4ec7/html5/thumbnails/25.jpg)
"This is significant and demonstrates the continued support for the federal share of $1.55 billion. I will continue to work hard with the City to ensure we obtain the full funding grant agreement this year.”
