All the best,

Marion, Aga, Bunsen, and all the staff at Horse Country

We have our largest ever selection of scarves, from silks to polys to pashminas, cottons to cashmeres, all with horsey themes—classic stirrups to cute horses. Our best find this year is a poly infinity scarf in lovely colors—white, taupe, black, chocolate, hot pink, and orange (possibly more colors that I can’t recall)—with metallic gold eggbutt bits. Only $19.95 and already being wrapped for the early Christmas shoppers. We have smart phone-size crossbody bags in chocolate and black, vertical and horizontal, covered in metallic bits, only $19.95, too. Love them!

Let Horse Country help set the table

It’s time to entertain! Impress your guests with new mugs, coasters, and linens from England with Wabbits and eventers. Don’t forget to check out the oven mitt and apron. Our latest table linen design is called Cheshire Hunt and we have tablecloths, runners, pillows and bolsters, and even a matching 3 quart ice bucket.

We’re well-stocked with Hunt Country Bloody Mary Mix, a local favorite and perfect as a hostess gift. If you like what you see, we’ll put a bow on it. Didn’t Beyoncé have lyrics like that?

Life is better in Viyella. Gentlemen, we haven’t forgotten all the things that make life nice for you, such as Viyella shirts, horse-themed ties, ball caps and flat caps. How about a new Barbour (since your old one is too costly to repair again)?

Horse Country's array of belts, handmade in England, are a gift to last a lifetime. You won’t find a better selection of riding breeches and fine tweed jackets anywhere. We’re especially pleased with the luxurious feel of the Merino sweaters we’ve chosen this year. And how about gloves? From goatskin work gloves to handmade English leather riding gloves, for chores around the barn or formal days afield, we have durable, dependable gloves for every occasion. With winter’s chill just around the corner, you’ll want to peruse our Lavenham jackets as well as the new English Utopia waxed and quilted jackets, Chrysalis rain coats, and as mentioned above, the classic basics from Barbour: Bedale, Border, and Beaufort. Our selection runs from work coats to sporty field jackets.

You might say we are into sustainability. We’ve always put an emphasis on products that stand the test of time, especially against the rigors of the hunt field. So we were extremely gratified to learn that one of our First Flight bridles and matching breastplates is now entering it’s 17th hunt season, and still looks brand new! Photographer Isabel Kureck caught this shot of Dr. Kathy Farley on Gallivant at Marlborough Hunt’s Opening Meet, October 23, 2016. Kathy purchased the bridle and breastplate at Horse Country in 1999! Not surprisingly, they were recognized as Best Turned-Out Pair. It’s a testament to what can be achieved with top quality material, expert craftsmanship, and proper care. That’s sustainability the Horse Country way!

There’s so much more at the store and online at www.HorseCountryCarrot.com. If you’re in the Warrenton area, please stop by and see us. We always enjoying catching up with old friends and making new ones. Always plenty to talk about among horse people!

The Test of Time

For a truly unique hostess gift, our doormats are nicely priced and sure to be appreciated. Everyone could use a fresh doormat with a fox running for covert, right?
