Evaluating quizzes

In groups of 4, trade quiz papers. Read each question and evaluate each other’s answers

using the rubric to evaluate what score it earned. Write the score next to the paragraph. Be honest about the evaluation- don’t inflate scores!

Share out the answers and choose the best response for each question from the group.

When all questions have been covered, figure out the average score for each paper and write it at the top of the paper. For example: Scores of 4, 4, 3, 2 = 13 / 4 required questions

= 3.25 Be prepared to share out your group’s “best of the

best” with the rest of the class.

Now what?

If you’re happy with your score, resubmit it to the turn in box.

If you’re NOT happy with your score (or you want to do a 5th question for extra credit), take it home tonight and add revisions. Staple the revised paragraphs to the original test, and resubmit it during class tomorrow.

Tomorrow’s a reading day- bring your book!
