Managers CornerA warm and thankful hug goes to all our member volunteers and HannibalLaGrange Golf Team who worked tirelessly for our Spring Clean-Up. I wasoverwhelmed by the response and the spectacular job around the grounds.Bravo to all who helped make themiserable winter mess - disappear.Thank you to Vicki & John James for donating a carload of annuals andpotted plants for the outside planters. They are oh-so pretty. Ron andRende are also providing our chefs with a wide assortment of herbsplants. We will locate this container garden at the far west side of our frontentrance. Thank you, Master Garderers! Team Tarleton, Doyle, Harris,Athman, Nichols & the HCC Staff have dedicated time to updating the ClubCottage. Great strides forward! And welcome to our new Course Superintendent, Mr. Larry Naggatz. Hehas taken residence within the Club Cottage and has already aggressivelyworked with Henry to prepare the property for our Golf Season. HCC isproud to have you aboard!

Finance Committee ReviewThe Finance Committee reviewed the rst quarter nancials for theHannibal Country Club. Membership stands at approximately 175members, which is in line with our 2011 proposed budget. The restaurantis currently ahead of the 2010 numbers, and the weather has providedgood activity on the golf course.

Thank you sincerely to those who chose NOT to use credit cards forannual dues. We had only six members do so and it has made a bigdifference in our payables for bank fees. We do not prohibit credit cardusage, but strongly encourage members to write a check for annual duesand monthly payments.

Our committee, staff, and board members are carefully watching the clubexpenditures in an effort to control costs to keep the club in the blackand reduce our debt. Debt service at December 31, 2010 was $183,674.Several payments have been made to reduce our debt position. Thecurrent balance as of March 31, 2011 was $128,493. Updates will begiven quarterly.

The Club annually budgets capital expenditure for unforeseen needs. Ithas been deemed necessary to give the clubhouse and pool house a freshcoat of paint. This work will commence the rst week in May. It is criticalthat member usage of the restaurant increases our nancial position. Weappreciate your continued support.
