1. Introduction 1.1. Purpose of the document The document describes the differences of the CLS licensing process between this product (feature) and the standard

process of OpenScape License Management (see document License Guidelines).

2. Product Information 2.1. General a) Depending on the target environment either a MAC Address or the Advanced Locking ID has to be used as Locking

ID. In case of a virtual environment the Advanced Locking ID has to be used. If your system does not display the Locking ID to use, you can calculate the Advanced Locking ID on CLS. For this please click on one of the “Calculate Locking ID” buttons and enter the requested system parameters.

b) The license file of the OpenScape Business V1 always contains all features supported by this product, even if the feature was not activated. In this case its quantity in the license key is 0.

c) The sum of all user licenses (TDM + IP + Deskshare + Mobility) on a system should not exceed 500.

d) The sum of the features

o “OpenScape Business V1 myPortal for Outlook”

o “OpenScape Business V1 Upgr. Smart to Desktop”

o “OpenScape Business V1 myPortal for Desktop”

on a system has to be less than the sum of the features

o “OpenScape Business V1 TDM User”

e) The quantity of the feature “OpenScape Business V1 myAttendant” on a system should not exceed the sum of

k) With feature “OpenScape Business V1 Upgr. Smart to Desktop” it is possible to upgrade feature

“OpenScape Business V1 myPortal Smart” to feature “OpenScape Business V1 myPortal for

Desktop”.

l) Contact Center functionality can be evaluated on a standalone system for 90 days by using “OpenScape

Business V1 UC Suite CC Evaluation”. The feature cannot be extended with a normal Contact Center

features. It will be disabled when one of the following features is activated:

o OpenScape Business V1 myAgent

o OpenScape Business V1 Contact Center Fax

o OpenScape Business V1 Contact Center E-Mail

o OpenScape Business V1 myReports

m) CRM functionality can be evaluated on a standalone system for 90 days by using “OpenScape Business V1 CRM

Evaluation”. This feature cannot be extended with normal CRM licenses. It will be disabled as soon as one of the

following licenses is activated:

o OpenScape Business V1 TAPI 120/170

o OpenScape Business V1 OpenDirectory Connector

o OpenScape Business V1 OpenDirectory Base

o OpenScape Business V1 Application Launcher

n) UC functionality can be evaluated on a standalone system for 90 days by using “OpenScape Business V1 UC

Suite CC Evaluation”. This feature cannot be extended with normal UC licenses. It will be disabled as soon as

one of the following licenses is activated:

o OpenScape Business V1 myPortal for Desktop

o OpenScape Business V1 Fax

o OpenScape Business V1 myPortal Smart

o OpenScape Business V1 Conference

o OpenScape Business V1 myAttendant

o OpenScape Business V1 myPortal for Outlook

o OpenScape Business V1 Web Collaboration Connector

o OpenScape Business V1 Gate View Cameras

o) If an “OpenScape Business V1 Voicemail” license is activated together with the UC evaluation feature

“OpenScape Business V1 UC Suite CC Evaluation”, the time-limited Voicemail feature contained in the

evaluation feature will be replaced by the normal feature quantity.

p) There exists an upgrade path from HiPath 3000/5000 V9 (see chap 8).

q) This product supports network licensing. Up to 99 systems can be added to one network license key with a maximum of 2000 user licenses (TDM + IP + Deskshare + Mobility). Systems are added to a license network when they have the same “Locking ID of Network CLA”. To add a system to a network, it has to contain the feature “OpenScape Business V1 Networking”.

r) However new systems added directly to an existing network license do not observe an activation period. They

require regular licenses right away.

s) If a network license has time limited features restricted with validity days, those features will not be represented in the “floating pool” of the network license. Rather they will be included in the correct network package that they originally belong to. Therefore, they can only be requested by its owner system. This case does not apply to regular licenses without network licensing specifications.

t) 5 license components “Java Husim Phonetester” are added to each license key (part of base license). These components will not be read by OpenScape Business V1 but from the phone tester product.

u) The “OpenScape Business V1 Base” and the “OpenScape Business V1 Upgrade HiPath 3000 V9”

provide a Business Configuration File input field. It has to be filled when using the upgrade feature, but it is only optional for the base feature. In this field the KDS configuration file content from a HiPath 3000/5000 V9 system has to be entered during upgrade. Additionally the KDS may contain user specific data which is used to identify an End Customer.

v) Evaluation features “OpenScape Business V1 Attendant Evaluation” and “OpenScape Business V1

BLF Evaluation” can be used to evaluate additional functionality if not already enabled in the system.

w) Feature “OpenScape Business V1 Upgr. Desktop to Outlook” upgrades existing “OpenScape Business

V1 myPortal for Desktop” to “OpenScape Business V1 myPortal for Outlook”.

x) Since all the following features are base features, only one of them could be activated at the same time.

o OpenScape Business V1 UC Smart Basic

o OpenScape Business V1 UC Smart Business

o OpenScape Business V1 UC Suite Basic

ee) When “OpenScape Business V1 X3/X5/X8 Gateway” is activated with “OpenScape Business V1

S2M/SIP/T1 Trunks”, the maximum quantity is limited to 250.

ff) When “OpenScape Business V1 X1 Gateway” is activated with “OpenScape Business V1 S2M/SIP/T1

Trunks”, the maximum quantity is limited to 30.

Please use the Rehost workflow to change values of additional input fields, e.g. a Standby Server Locking ID.

Search for the main Locking ID of the system and perform a Rehost.

Re-enter the former main Locking ID and change the value of the field you want to modify, e.g. enter a new Standby

Server Locking ID.

Please note that it is not possible to search for systems using a Standby Server Locking ID or an additional input value.

We recommend to search using:

- Locking ID (only the main Locking ID if the product supports Standby Server.)

- System ID (if applicable)

- Alias Name

8. Upgrade 8.1. HiPath 3000 / 5000 V9 OpenScape Business V1 It is possible to upgrade from HiPath 3000 / 5000 V9. Only the whole system can be upgraded. The Locking ID may be

changed during the upgrade process. The feature “OpenScape Business V1 Upgrade HiPath 3000 V9” has to

be activated in order to trigger the upgrade process. It is not possible to trigger the upgrade process via the “Upgrade

Licenses” workflow or from the HiPath 3000 V9 certificate.

In order to perform an upgrade the KDS configuration file content from the HiPath 3000/5000 V9 system has to be

provided into the Business Configuration File input field.

It is even possible to upgrade from HiPath 3000 / 5000 V9 systems containing only TDM licenses that were not licensed

on the CLS by providing the KDS content of the specific system to the Business Configuration File survey question.

It is only possible to upgrade once from a HiPath 3000/5000 V9 system as it will be locked for further upgrades during

the first upgrade process.

If you own a HiPath 3000 system < V9, you have to upgrade to V9 first. In a second step you then can activate the

upgrade feature to OpenScape Business V1.

8.2. OpenScape Office V3 MX/LX OpenScape Business V1 It is possible to upgrade from OpenScape Office V3 MX/LX. Only the whole system can be upgraded. The feature

“OpenScape Business V1 Upgrade OpenScape V3 LX” has to be activated in order to trigger the upgrade

process.
