Race 1 #4 Dirty Dangle #3 Rosa’s Soul #7 Amalfi Sky #2 In My Opinion #4 DIRTY DANGLE goes for new sire Not This Time, who has had success with his first timers from a limited sample size. The dam has yet to throw a juvenile winner in three foals to race. #3 ROSA’S SOUL shows a steady worktab coming into her debut. Tale of Ekati is a 15% debut sire; the dam has not thrown a debut winner but has thrown a few nice runners although no Stakes types. #7 AMALFI SKY is a half to Grade 2 winner Amalfi Coast.Sky Mesa does well with his first time starting juveniles (15%) and is known for his success as a synthetic sire. #2 IN MY OPINION, the stablemate of Dirty Dangle, is by popular sire Munnings (15% with debuting juveniles.) It does not appear that the stablemates have breezed together coming into this.

Race 2 #1 Keep Your Word #8 Carl G #5 New Deal #6 Virgil Caine #1 KEEP YOUR WORD raced wide and never threatened in his seasonal debut. He should be very tough plunging in value and drawing inside. #8 CARL G has been disappointing in two local tries over the synthetic. His turf try at Tampa was not too bad; he takes another drop in value today. #5 NEW DEAL was a well-beaten second behind a rail-skimming winner for $10,000 on July 26. He looks like a potential speed type in this group. #6 VIRGIL CAINE has now shown much in three starts over the Tapeta to date. He tries turf and removes the blinkers after adding them last time out.

Race 3 #6 Gigantic Breeze #3 Nevaeh’s Valentine #7 Glenville Gardens #1 Guitar George #6 GIGANTIC BREEZE had a wide journey but showed some finishing interest when closing out 2019 with a sixth place finish behind Glenville Gardens. Back-classy gelding should be competitive with a clean trip. #3 NEVAEH’S VALENTINE is not a need-the-lead type but figures to be going out to set the pace with this group. He was a bit even in the stretch last time out but did not run badly and could easily rebound. #7 GLENVILLE GARDENS caught a soft group of $25,000 foes but rallied impressively to win on July 10. He beat several of these foes last year on closing day. #1 GUITAR GEORGE has raced well in both of his starts this season. He should be able to save ground from this draw.

Race 4 #7 Final Eclipse - Best Bet #1 Personal Journey #2 Big Time Gizmo #3 Sweepin Hard #7 FINAL ECLIPSE was still a bit green in his second start but started rolling in late stretch after racing wide. There’s a lot of potential for this horse to develop into a quality runner. #1 PERSONAL JOURNEY ran a good fourth from a wide post on July 24. This is the first time this season he hasn’t drawn well to the outside; could be a pace factor. #2 BIG TIME GIZMO debuted last year, making a big wide run, making the lead in the stretch but just being outfinished. They fact that he ran that well when debuting around two turns suggests he may be ready to run well off of the layoff. #3 SWEEPIN HARD had a wide trip and passed a couple of tiring ones in his debut last month. He gets some distance and a better post to work with.

Race 5 #4 Lord Wimborne (IRE) #3 Jammin Still #6 Kitten’s Boy #10 Flashymeister #4 LORD WIMBORNE (IRE) raced evenly over the synthetic when dropping in for $40,000 last month. He takes another drop and should be very tough getting back to the turf. #3 JAMMIN STILL was a game second behind a lone speed winner on July 9. He can show speed himself; figures to be competitive with this group. #6 KITTEN’S BOY showed no speed and didn’t make much headway in his first start off of the claim on a day where it was difficult to close. He gets back in for the price he was taken for. #10 FLASHYMEISTER raced wide and evened out in the stretch when kicking off his season in the same race that his stablemate exits. He could improve with the start under his belt, assuming he can work out a better trip.

Race 6

#2 Fort Hope #8 Lead Director #1 Over the Hills #6 Windchill Zar #2 FORT HOPE ran a very good second at big odds in his debut, then returned with a credible fourth after dueling on the lead around two turns in his second try. He looks logical on the cutback. #8 LEAD DIRECTOR dueled on the lead, put away the other speed and was narrowly outkicked by a closing stablemate in his promising debut last month. If that hard-fought race didn’t take too much out of him he should be a big player. #1 OVER THE HILLS had a wide trip and came up empty when debuting in the race won by Shirl’s Speight on July 4. He adds blinkers for his second attempt and shouldn’t be totally ignored if the price is right. #6 WINDCHILL ZAR showed a lot of speed and earned a couple of on-the-board finishes as a juvenile. He returns as a gelding and is worth a look.

Race 7 #3 He’s a Gizmo #8 Red Astaire #4 King of the Ring #1 Mr Todd #3 HE’S A GIZMO was a bit disappointing in his season opener on July 5. He may have needed that start and this race looks easier; both Papa’s Place and Shangassah came out of that race to win. #8 RED ASTAIRE was entered to try turf for $25,000 two weeks ago but scratched as the race came off. He may have a tough time overcoming the wide post but if he can work out a trip he should be a factor. #4 KING OF THE RING made a bid in early stretch but was outfinished when competing in an off-turf event two weeks ago. He drops in value and gets an opportunity to try the grass here. #1 MR TODD was pressured on the lead before hitting the wall on July 24. His debut was not a bad effort and he could be the controlling speed in here if he is good enough.

Race 8 #5 Painting #7 Charmaine’s Mia #6 Sister Peacock #8 Amalfi Coast #5 PAINTING had a poor start then had to check a couple of times while rallying to be second in the Trillium behind Souper Escape, who was the lone speed. #7 CHARMAINE’S MIA rallied into the Royal North pace meltdown to be fourth last time out. She is arguably better on the synthetic and should offer some good value. #6 SISTER PEACOCK set blistering fractions in the Royal North and kept on pretty well to be fifth by 1 ¼ lengths. If she can outsprint Gamble’s Candy for the early lead she could be tough to run down. #8 AMALFI COAST ran a decent fourth in the Nassau last time out. She gets back to the synthetic for the first time this year, which was the surface she scored her biggest win to date in, last year’s Bessarabian.

Race 9 #5 Thor’s Rocket #9 Gray’s Fable #6 Rose’s Vision #3 Wile E Peyote #5 THOR’S ROCKET spent most of 2019 running big efforts against Stakes company, then was beaten less than a length when he was able to return to this condition at the end of the year. Classy veteran looks very tough if he is ready to fire off of the layoff. #9 GRAY’S FABLE was a very impressive front-end winner of a first level allowance on June 14, then had a wide trip over the soft going in the Connaught Cup and came up empty. This horse showed a lot of potential in Florida and should be able to compete at this level. #6 ROSE’S VISION has run well in both of his starts so far this season. He is a long time between wins but has the talent and should offer some value. #3 WILE E PEYOTE rallied out wide and was narrowly beaten in his local debut on July 23. He may be better on the synthetic but has had turf success before.

Race 10 #1 Twomanyshots #2 Baby Driver #3 Frost Dance #5 Screen Diva #1 TWOMANYSHOTS has had some wide trips and trouble but has also probably been needing this drop for a few starts. She draws well with the rail out in a wide setting. #2 BABY DRIVER dropped in for $10,000 and had a wide journey on the synthetic last time out. She has since been privately purchased and fits well with this bunch. #3 FROST DANCE was a non-threat against maiden special weight company two weeks ago. She adds blinkers and catches a soft group for this class plunge. #5 SCREEN DIVA showed finishing interest in her troubled debut but has not done anything since. Perhaps the turf and route distance could wake her up.

Race 11 #2 Bokermin #7 Have a Souper Day #13 Bend in the River #5 Keen Artie #3 Pinky Dude #2 BOKERMIN broke his maiden by DQ last month. The horse that beat him but was disqualified returned to win; his speed figures are competitive. #7 HAVE A SOUPER DAY was a very game second behind Bexar, who returned to win against non-threes. He has never been worse than fourth in nine career starts. #13 BEND IN THE RIVER broke his maiden in an off-turf dash on July 19. He now gets to try the turf; he is talented enough to win but will need a lot of luck from this post. #5 KEEN ARTIE was a well beaten third behind the impressive Red Hierarchy last time out. He is a consistent good performer; he gets on turf for the first time this season. #3 PINKY DUDE tries turf for the first time after running an even race in an off-turf dash where the pace did not really fall apart for him. He could get a good inside stalking trip here.
