ANNOUNCEMENTS

There will be a Family Festival on the Saturday evening of the Western District Conference Annual Assembly, July 26-27 on Bethel College campus, North Newton. It will feature a hamburger/hotdog picnic, an inflatable bouncy house, a coffee house concert at MoJo's and more. It's open to the public, so invite your friends and neighbors! (Donations welcome at the event.) For more information, go to: http://mennowdc.org/annual-assembly/#2019annualAssembly Please sign-up soon and let Pastor Steve know so he can give you delegate information. Mennonite Central Committee is now collecting Immigration detainee care kits. When people who have been placed in immigration detention centers are released, they often have nothing more than the clothes on their backs. Kits containing clothing and hygiene products can help to rebuild their dignity as they are taken to bus stations and airports to reconnect with their families in the U.S. Please visit mcc.org/immigrationkit for all the details of what goes into the kit and how the kits will be distributed. It is one small way we can share Christ’s love with our neighbors. All kit supplies should be sent to MCC Central States 121 E. 30th, PO Box 235, North Newton, KS 67117. Questions? Please contact MCC at 316.283.2720.

PRAYER OPPORTUNITIES

Please pray for a smooth transition for Cleo and Faye Koop.

Because of Faye's continued journey with Early Onset

Alzheimer's, on July 1 Faye became a resident of Asbury Park in

Newton in the 1202 Greenhouse Skilled Care Unit.

Keep Winifred Koehn in your prayers as she continues to

experience eyesight blurriness from her stroke.

Continue praying for Maeanna Regier and Deb Castillo who are

both recovering from recent back surgery.

Western District Conference: Pray for the WDC Gifts

Discernment Committee as they conclude selection of

nominees for leadership roles in WDC, and give thanks for

persons who have agreed to serve in these roles.

Mennonite Mission Network: Anne Garber Kompaoré of

Mennonite Mission Network travels around the world as a

Bible-translation consultant. She is based in Burkina Faso,

where she and her husband, Daniel, provide leadership for

congregations and schools. Pray for an end to persecution

against Christians and to terrorist attacks in the country.
