beautiful countryside of Northumberland.
Your journey begins in Bowness-on-Solway which is in an Area of Outstanding Beauty on the Solway

on the East Coast. Enjoy the freedom of cycling on quiet roads and cycle paths as you explore the
beautiful countryside.
Macs Adventure offer two itineraries on the Hadrian’s Cycleway taking in the best and most popular
section, both starting from Bowness and finishing in Tynemouth. Your first night’s accommodation will be

look out for the signs at intersections and be sure
to follow the correct path as there are other
cycleways in the same area.

The Hadrian’s Cycleway is only available to
cycle from West to East due to our baggage

cycling in this direction.
Additional Nights
Many of our clients choose to add extra nights

extra night in Gilsland or Once Brewed as there
are some great circular day routes in these
areas.
