that when Jesus was crucified and died on the crossthat he died for our sins. For those of you who knowme, you know I'm not asking that in some sarcastic

manner, I just honestly have never understood whatthat even means. First of all, Christians also believethat Jesus arose from the dead and that he's livingright now so he really isn't really dead after all. So hereare a few questions about this situation. If Jesus hadn'tdied for our sins and consequently no resurrection,

how would that have changed the circumstances ofthe lives of every human being?

for our sins? Are you saying that even though Jesusdidn't commit the sins committed by billions of humanbeings that it erased their bad behavior and somehow

changed the fundamental situation they would befacing and gave them an opportunity for eternal lifewhich they otherwise would not have had? I've reallynever heard anyone explain this whole scenario insimple, easy to understand language that actuallymakes sense and yet this is one of the core principles

of the Christian religion. Can anyone explain this inlayman's terms without quoting the Bible and simplylay out their thoughts in an easy to understandmanner?

I have tried hard to care and failed often.I have shared my secrets and, heard themwhispered to others.I have been warm and received a cold shoulder.I have been through it, Lord.

I've fallen on my face.I've banged my shins.I've been bruised.Look, Lord, I'm all covered with scars!

The Lord Speaks:Maybe you haven't understood enough.Maybe you haven't learned that human life is like that. All saints are scarred.Young love isn't the highest form of human love.

The greatest love comes from scarred people.I know that many people stop lovingso they won't be hurt again. But those people who do start over again, who continue in spite of all,

who leave themselves open tothe possibility of being hurt again --These people are able to love again in a deeper way,a more understanding way, a richer way.

Yellow asked a grey-haired caterpillar hanging upside down on a branch what a butterfly was.The grey-haired caterpillar said it was what she was meant to become. Yellow found it hard tobelieve that there was a butterfly inside the gray fuzzy caterpillar so she continued to ask:

How does one become a butterfly?

You must want to fly so much that you are willing to give up being a caterpillar.

    You mean to die?

Yes and no. What looks like you will die, but whats really you will still live. Life is changed nottaken away.

And if I decide to become a butterfly, what do I do?
