1. UPDATES ON HTC ADDITIONAL MEASURES From 21 June 2021: Live worship will be allowed to resume. Only worship leaders, singers, readers, and preachers can be unmasked when speaking/singing. Singing is not permitted for the congregation, only spoken responses are allowed. Non-congregational activities, e.g., Sunday school, youth ministry, Life group meetings, CE classes will be allowed onsite, with a maximum of 50 persons (in groups of 5) including teachers and helpers. According to MCCY guidelines, with the exception of church staff, no consumption of meals are allowed in church. 2. CONTACTING PASTORAL STAFF Please keep Rev Michael Chan’s re-covery in prayers as he has under-gone surgery on Wed 2 June. He will be on Hospitalization Leave until 10 July 2021.

Please contact other pastoral staff if you have any pastoral needs, request for Holy Communion or if you welcome a physical visit.

SCAFFOLDING AROUND CHURCH External scaffolds around the church building are estimated to be set up from 24 May until end August 2021. All members, especially the elderly and children, are advised to exercise caution when moving around the premises. 11. MORNING OFFICE The Diocese and the Cathedral will host a daily morning office via Zoom. The daily office allows the Psalms, Prayers and the Word to shape, edify and cleanse. It creates a daily pattern and rhythm of life. The Morning Office will be extended for two more months. Summary of HTC PCC Meeting on 22 May 2021

1) Focus for the New Term (2021-2022) In this new term, the Committee aimed to complete the following 4 tasks:

• The renovation of the upper Sanctuary, which would complement as a thanksgiving event during our 80th Anniversary celebration.

• The administrative merger of the Foochow and Hokkien Congregations. We will work towards tabling the motion of the administrative merger in the next AGM in 2022.

• As previously agreed by the PCC, we will look into the handover of the community work of PEACE- CONNECT to St Andrew’s Community Services which is under the Diocese of Singapore. Holy Trinity Parish will continue with the pastoral work for those residents under the man-agement of PEACE-CONNECT. Similarly, we will work towards tabling the motion in the next AGM in 2022.

• Review the pastoral care and leading of the three congregations. 2) 80th Anniversary Celebration To celebrate HTC’s 80th Anniversary, the planned events include:

• Formation of Committee for compilation of Family Album

• Finalisation of an official logo for HTC

• Provision of souvenir to commemorate the 80th anniversary. 3) PCC Acceptance of the Reno Committee’s Proposal for Reno Works Under Phase 3 PCC members unanimously approved to award the jobs to the following 3 con-tractors, namely,

• Mushroom – for Roofing works (external and internal repair)

• Soundsmith Pte Ltd – for Sound System at Upper Sanctuary

• Anticimex Pest Management Pte Ltd – for Anti-termite treatment at Up-per Sanctuary

The total cost amounted to $275,020.90. 4) Updates on Church Retreat Camp In view of the Covid-19 pandemic, the meeting agreed that the church retreat camp will be placed on hold until further notice. 5) Installation of Additional Drinks Vending Machine The church will install another new drink machine managed by Jia Jia Drinks Manufacturing Pte Ltd in the open area beside HTC. The tentative installation date is in the last week of Jun 2021.

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. (1 Tim-othy 2:1-4)

1. YOUTHS IN THE WORLD In this age of globalization, rapid technological advance, widespread availability of infor-mation (through news and social media), youths feel overwhelmed by what is right and wrong. Pray for Christian youths throughout the world to be committed to have God’s Word as an anchor to discern truth from error. Pray for Christian youths around the world to increas-ingly know their awesome value, worth and identity in Christ Jesus, and be empowered to fulfill the calling God has placed upon their lives. 2. YOUTHS IN SINGAPORE Thank God for the recent June holidays that have allowed students to rest, recharge and enjoy time with their families and friends. Pray that even as students return to school amidst Covid-19 safety restrictions, they may adapt quickly to the measures and also be able to adjust well to their studies and preparation for exams. Pray also for youths who are in the midst of transi-tion – NS, waiting for University, just graduated, work – that they may learn to fully place their trust in God to divinely lead them and direct their paths in the journey ahead. 3. YOUTHS IN HOLY TRINITY CHURCH Thank God for the recent NET ministry leaders’ retreat held on 26 June that the advisors, mentors and leaders were able to be refreshed through God’s Word, discussion and mutual edification. Pray for the leaders to continue to have a heart of service unto the Lord, and that God may guide them as they plan, lead and minister to the youths in HTC. Pray for each and every youth in HTC to grow to know and love God more and more. Pray that they may be disciplined to study and apply God’s Word, and to be His salt and light in their families, schools, workplaces, cell groups and among their friends. Pray for NET minis-try to continue to multiply and be a spiritual community for youths to grow in Christ, and develop strong spiritual friendships.
