Their help and services are only a phone call away. My Aged Care My Aged Care is an Australian Government initiative that helps you find the information you need about aged care services including transport options. There are two types of transport services available. You can be picked up by a transport service or you may receive vouchers or subsidies for taxi services. www.myagedcare.gov.au 1800 200 422 Aged care transport services Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme (PTSS) The PTSS provides financial assistance to eligible patients (and approved escorts) who are required to travel more than 50 kilometers from their local public hospital to access specialist medical services. Google: Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme 13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84) Non-emergency medical transport If you need to travel to a medical facility for an appointment, you may be able to travel by ambulance, providing you meet the Queensland Ambulance Service eligibility criteria.
