Guthrie General, Inc. served as the CMAR on this 10,000 square foot Emergency Department addition and

remodel. The project added six treatment bays, two trauma rooms, a serenity garden, nurses station, waiting

room, admitting, and MRI shell and new hospital entry. Guthrie General, Inc. was instrumental in the pre-con-

struction phase and performed on behalf of the owner during value engineering for a substantial savings.

Boswell Memorial Hospital1st Floor Renovation

Guthrie General, Inc. was the General Contractor on this 53,000 square foot, 15 phase remodel space. We

were required to keep all areas 100% operational during the construction that included a 712 square foot addition

to the emergency department which houses 3 new triage rooms. Construction cost total was $7,109,000 in it’s

completion. Guthrie General, Inc. completed this project to the complete satisfaction of everyone involved with-

out interruption of any departmental services.

Boswell 1st Floor Renovation scope of work includes:

Guthrie General, Inc. was presented with numerous challenges for this project. A substantial amount of

new equipment was installed for this project which included 2 new air handling units to supply air for the ED and

Lab. A new 64 slice Philips CT and a new Siemens Angiography system were installed. The Angiography equipment

required the installation of 9.7 tons of steel that was installed in the Angio Suite to obtain the stringent de! ection

criteria required. The project also included a major upgrade to the facilities essential equipment power system.

Temporary locations had to be coordinated and constructed to house the sta" and equipment so that areas could

be worked on in phases.

Tatum & Shea - 9,000 sf Imaging Center valued at $2,396,301.

The project contained 5 modalities which included an MRI, PET CT, Bone Density Scan, CT, and an Ultrasound

Room. This project posed extensive obstacles with the existing structural support such as the MRI area required

shoring and removal of the existing trusses and the installation of beams for the shielding height requirement for

the MRI.

Fountain Hills - 10,000 sf Imaging Center valued at $2,014,851.

Within this space a full modality imaging center was constructed that included an MRI, CT, Ultrsound, General Rad

Room, Mammography, RF Room and Dexa Scan. During the preconstruction phase we were able to value engineer

aesthetic ! nishes that resulted in a substantial savings to the owner without compromising the ! nal ! nished

product.

Gilbert- 13,890 sf Imaging Center valued at $2,596,248.

The project contained 12 modalities which included an MRI, PET CT, Dexa, CT, three Ultrasound rooms, X-RAY, two

Mammography rooms, R/F, and a stereotactic room. Posh designer materials were implemented to create a luxuri-

ous calming environment for patient comfort.

Project Scope – As you can see from the list above, Guthrie General, Inc. has completed multiple imaging projects

for EVDI ranging from small equipment swap outs to complete imaging center renovations, all while keeping the

centers fully operational. The square footage on these projects ranged from 400 square ft. to 3,000 square ft.

Marquis Diagnostic Imaging Centers

Gilbert – Contract Amount – 6,835 sf Imaging Center valued at $1,027,600

This project contained CT, MRI, RF, and 2 Ultrasound rooms. The MRI shield not only used radio frequency

shielding but also needed magnetic Shielding to protect the adjacent suite.

Phoenix – Contract Amount – 6,531 sf Imaging Center valued at $981,800

This project consisted of a full modality imaging center including CT, MRI, RF, and Ultrasound rooms. This proj-

ect had some obstacles that were overcome by re-supporting the roof structure to contain equipment on the

roof.
