GAVA
Presidents Report
Improvements and repairs continue to be made on the clubhouse, pool and common grounds. Our goal is to keep GAV a great place to live.
Bob Rose was very instrumental in getting the City of Oldsmar to replace some of the streetlights around the common area with new, stronger LED lights. It's made a big difference in lighting up the parking areas.
New light posts were installed in the front of the clubhouse to help light up the golf cart parking areas. Those lights, in addition to the new LED streetlights will make both the handicap and golf cart parking safer to navigate.
There will be no monthly board meetings June-July-August, starting back up again in September. Both the board members and Ameri-Tech will continue to monitor activities throughout the summer to ensure that all rules and regulations are being followed and the clubhouse and pool is maintained properly.
Tom Farkas, President
Note from the Newsletter Team
Just a reminder that the NL team takes a much-needed vacation by publishing the July/August combination issue. The deadline for items for both July and August is June 8th. We will resume publishing monthly newsletters in September. Be sure to check the July/August NL for the deadline for the September issue.

SOCIAL CLUB PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
June… A half year already gone by. These past six months have been very busy with many fun filled dances and other activities. Well, this is not the end of fun. Your Social Club has been very active in setting up new activities with some new entertainers. The summer will not slow down. We have cookouts, dances and other fun filled activities to keep you entertained. Think of Gull Aire Village as your own private resort. Where else can you have so much fun for so little cost?
Speaking of planning, I need to mention the Social Club Activities Committee. These wonderful people spend hours and hours in planning all the functions you enjoy. They work tirelessly in arranging the entertainment, decorating, and setting up. After you have enjoyed your night out, they continue to work hard in cleaning up and setting the tables back to normal. These people do this for you, not for any compensation or praise. I think it would lift their spirits up when you see Barbara Drawbaugh, Eve Joline, Diana Lutch, TC Hite, Joy Lafrance, Diane Cosseboom, David Pacheco, Mickey Stewart, Sue VanVessem, Jan Freeman, Emily Mathurin, Sheila Clark, Jeanne Plumb or Elaine Jordan to thank them for all the hard work they do.
Starting on June 1st we have Koffee Klatch. Following Koffee Klatch, Dave Young from the Oldsmar Fire Department, will be giving a class on CPR. This class is very important, especially for the summer swimming season when you bring all your fun-loving grandchildren to the pool. Not to mention some of us fun loving older children!
In the evening of the 1st, you can dance the night away at your June Bug Dance. On the 15th we have our Potluck Dinner. Please bring a dish for 8 to share. This event is always a success as it brings out the best cooking from your kitchen. Your friends and neighbors will take delight in sampling the many fine foods. In addition, it is another excuse to socialize.
In June we also have your Bunco on the 7th & 24th, Karaoke on the 14th and Game Night on the 29th. Bingo will only be on the 12th, 19th, & 26th. There will be no bingo on the 5th. Do not forget about our hilarious game of Chair Volleyball every Sunday at 3:00pm. Come, join us, and enjoy non-stop laughing.
If you think June is loaded with fun, just wait until you see what we have in store for the rest of the summer. You will not be disappointed.
Please have fun this summer and enjoy all the functions we have planned for you.
As always, please keep checking the bulletin board and web site for any additions, deletions or changes. Especially during the summer, due to the fact we have no newsletter to keep you up to date.
Remember, “Fun has no age limit!”
Dale Mathurin, President

THINGS A BURGLAR WON’T TELL YOU
⚫ I’m not complaining, but why would you pay all that money for a fancy alarm system and leave your house without setting it?
⚫ Avoid announcing your vacation on your Facebook page. It’s easier than you think to look up your address.
⚫ If you don’t answer when I knock, I try the door. Occasionally, I hit the jackpot and walk right in.
