Gregory Clark, an industrial designer by training, has worked with most materials and processes
imaginable, from materials commonly crafted by artisan hands to large scale commercial methods
used to create consumer products and architecture. No material or process intimidates us. The
more unique and challenging the process or material, the more exciting it is for us. Our
understanding of diverse methods and materials is helpful in supporting the creation of new and
original works.
We work in all types of methods for metal, including formed, fabricated, forged, and cast; as well as
all types of finishes. I suggest using “Our processes range from computer navigated to hand worked
craftsmanship.”
Founder Gregory Clark is a fourth generation artisan with a lifetime passion for furniture, art,
craft, and creative design. He has traveled the world creating objects from furniture, to shoes, to
consumer products. From artisan studios in Egypt, to restoring relics utilizing ancient techniques
in Venice, to working beside modern production facilities throughout the Far East, Mexico, and
South America, his curiosity for learning how to create great works has been insatiable. Mr.
Clark received a degree in Industrial Design from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), studied
engineering at Brown University, studied Architectural and Artifact Conservation in Italy, and
apprenticed with master shoe producers and designers in Asia. While at RISD he participated in
course work with notable artists/designers including Dale Chilhuly, master Industrial Designer
Marc Harrison, and renowned furniture designers Tage Frid and John Dunnigan.
