Greetings in the Wonderful Name of

Jesus!

The Word of the Lord penned by David in Ps 27:13-14 says, “I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. 14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.” These verses

are so relevant to the pandemic the world has faced for the past three months.

Faith in God keeps us from fainting under pressure. We have to move from believing for survival to believing for revival. “Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the Lord will do great things.” (Joel 2:21) Expect a great outpouring of God’s Spirit. I am believing for a latter rain experience (Joel 2:23) Visit our website at www.Greenvillecommunitychristian.com for updated information on Greenville Community Christian Church reopening plans and guidelines. As we reopen we will continue our online services. We are preparing and believing for a safe glorious reopening. I trust that AWIS is a source of inspiration, strength and comfort during this season. Be Careful for Nothing (Don’t Worry About a Thing)

Phil 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and

supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known

unto God.

As believers, we have to get out of the stress cycle and get over

on the blessed cycle. We ought to stop stressing about stuff and

quit worrying over things. As the scripture says, “Be careful for

nothing...” in other words, don’t worry about anything; “but in every

thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your

requests be made known unto God.”

We must come to the place where we are giving God thanks in

advance for things, and letting our requests be made known;

knowing that God will grant those requests that we have. We don’t

see the full manifestation of it as long as we put it in the future. But

we start to see it when we put it in the present.

The Amplified version of the Bible says, “Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.” The Message Bible says, “Don’t fret or worry, instead of worrying, pray. Let petition and praises shape your worries into prayer. Let God know our concern.” Prayer Focus: Father, help me get beyond worry and start believing God. And Lord, forgive me for worry because it indicates doubt. I purpose to believe the report of the Lord.

Verse of the Day: 2Cor 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a

moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

Living the Word Today: Trust and put your confidence in the Living God.

Abounding in Hope

Rom 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in

believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the

Holy Ghost.

It is God who fills our lives with hope and gives our lives purpose

and meaning. He fills us with hope; He fills us with all joy and also

fills us with peace. We are not in this world alone; we are not by

ourselves. We have hope and an expectation of a desired

outcome. Our future shall be bright. God will continue to

strengthen us, keep us and cause us to triumph in every way.

We need to look unto Him and continue in faith, in joy and peace

because God is the one who gives us that hope. He is the one

who gives us joy; He is the one who gives us peace. So, our trust

and our confidence should be in Him. He is the Living God.

All the other things that we try to trust in, will let us down. But

when we trust in the Lord, He will give us peace and joy for that

hope that we need, and we shall abound through the power of the

Holy Ghost!

Prayer Focus: Thank you, Lord, for the hope that comes through your precious name. Verse of the Day: Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Living the Word Today: Keep your faith in the Lord, knowing that He will continue to give you joy, hope and peace.

Ask God for your Blessing

1Chr 4:10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that

thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that

thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from

evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he

requested.

Notice that Jabez prayed and asked God to bless him. We also

can pray and ask God to bless us. Prov 10:22 says, “The blessing

of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.”

God’s blessings cause favor to be upon your life.

God will enlarge your influence. He will cause an expansion and

growth in your life. God’s hand is with us as believers and we need

to expect God’s hand to be with us and keep us from evil. Part of

the Lord’s Prayer is “lead us not into temptation”. The Lord will

keep you from falling!

The Scripture says, “…ye have not, because ye ask not.” (Jam

4:2). If we want God to grant those requests that we have in our

hearts, then let’s ask God for them and watch how God will cause

those blessings to come our way. Expect God to bless you, indeed

and cause you to have supernatural increase.

Prayer Focus: Father, I ask that you hear my heart’s cry and grant my requests. Verse of the Day: 1John 5:15 And if we know that he hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. Living the Word Today: Expect God to do great and mighty things on your behalf!

A Thirst for God

John 7:37-38 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus

stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me,

and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out

of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Our desire for God is equated to a thirst. Imagine on a hot summer day when you have been laboring and a thirst rises up inside; really nothing can satisfy it except for water. You can try other things but will still come back to the same source. It has been proven that we can go longer without food than we can without water. Water is essential because everything in our body consists of and operates by water. It takes water to carry nutrients to the cells and regulate our body temperature. Our body is largely water. That is why our body has a thirst for water. Can we get to a place where we want God so much that we will seek after Him, that we will labor and do what it takes to get to Him? We need to have a hunger and a thirst for God. We should want God more than anything or anybody else in our lives and keep him first in our lives. When we develop a thirst for God and see the need for Him in our lives, we realize we cannot make it without him. Many people try to satisfy their thirst with the wrong thing, but that thirst in your soul, only God can satisfy. You can try other things and they can bring you temporary relief, but ultimately, we need God. We need to thirst after God and seek him with our whole heart, the Bible says, He shall be found. Prayer Focus: Lord, let there be a thirst in my heart for you. Let me have a hunger that I want you more than anything or anybody else. Verse of the Day: Ps 42:1 As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. Living the Word Today: “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart” (Jer 29:13).

Be Not Afraid

Ps 27:1-3 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. We must make sure that we put our trust and confidence in the Lord and not let fear rob us. Fear will try to rob you of your joy, your peace and your confidence towards God. Ultimately, fear wants to rob you of your faith. But the good news is, God is on your side! He will turn everything that the enemy has set against you and cause you to walk in victory. It is God who always causes us to triumph. He is the greater one who lives on the inside of us. He will subdue the wicked on our behalf. God said he will make your enemies your footstool. His angels will encamp round about you and protect you and keep you in every way. The Lord is the one who delivers you from all fear. Do not let fear keep you from fulfilling your purpose in life. Do not let fear steal your joy, your peace and your hope. Put your trust in the Living God knowing that He is the God who delivers you from all fear. Prayer Focus: Thank you, Lord, for deliverance from all fear and for a peace that passes all understanding. Verse of the Day: Prov 28:1 The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion. Living the Word Today: Put your trust and confidence in the Lord and make up your mind to not let fear rob you out of the quality of your life.

Chosen in the Furnace of Affliction Ps 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. We can have the comfort of knowing that the Lord is on our side even when we are tried in the fire. Isa 48:10 says, “Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.” And Ps 34:19 says, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.” I pray that you had a great season in your life; I pray that everything is going your way, but for those who it is not, I want to tell you that God is still on your side! In the midst of it, walk by faith and not by sight. Even though adversity and pressure may come your way, the victory is already yours! You can get up and shout, start giving God praise. James 1:2 says, “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations”. Even in the valley of the shadow of death, the Lord said, fear not for He is with you! Therefore, we can just give God glory and praise. Whatever you are facing today is a light affliction that lasts but for a moment. Thank God that our bodies are whole, our finances are right, we are walking in prosperity and in the blessings of God. We are living in our blessed state. And if it does not look like that now, start confessing that anyway and give God glory and praise! The victory is already yours! Prayer Focus: Thank you, Lord that you are faithful to us. Your mercies are new every morning. I endeavor to be faithful unto you. Verse of the Day: Isa 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. Living the Word Today: Give God thanks for total victory in your life today.

More than Enough Exo 36:6-7 And Moses gave commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman make any more work for the offering of the sanctuary. So the people were restrained from bringing. For the stuff they had was sufficient for all the work to make it, and too much. God told Moses to receive an offering from the people and the people gave. You have to remember that these people were in the wilderness, there were no jobs, they had come out of slavery and were just wondering from one place to another, yet they were on their way to the Promised Land. And God said take an offering. The people began to bring the things that they had for offering, gold, etc. and God raised the people and gave them talents and abilities to carry out the work of the Sanctuary. They brought so much stuff that they had to ask the people to stop, because what they had was not only enough, but it was too much! Thank God for God’s people bringing tithes and offering to the store-house, but we need to claim that not only do we have enough for our min-istry, but we have more than enough! It would be a blessing for any Pas-tor to have the opportunity to say, that’s enough, we don’t need any more right now, we have more than we can use. Thank God that can happen! It is amazing that the people still had some left, and God caused them to have supernatural provision, He fed them manna from heaven, He caused water to come out of the rock, and they walked all those years but their shoes did not wear out neither did their clothes grow old. God supernatu-rally blessed them. Prayer Focus: Father, I thank you for abundant provision and ask that you will cause me to have that I may give. Verse of the Day: Mal 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. Living the Word Today: Thank God for not just enough, but more than enough!

Faith for the Impossible Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. In order to have faith for the impossible, we have to look beyond what we can see with our natural eyes and see in the realm of the Spirit. We have to go beyond what we hear with our natural ears and hear the voice of God. “He that hath ears to hear, let him hear” (Matt 11:15). We must see this thing from God’s perspective and not from man’s perspective, from heaven’s perspective, not from earth’s perspective. We must believe beyond what is normal and trust God to do the su-pernatural and the impossible in our lives. Abraham was one of those who had faith for the impossible. He and his wife were past the age of having children and Sarah had been barren all her life, but yet at an old age of about a hundred years old, God told him he would have a son, and he did. The Bible says about Abraham in Rom 4:18 “Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.” And the Bible says his faith was counted unto him as righteousness (Rom 4:3). God got angry with the children of Israel because they asked a question; “Can God furnish table in the wilderness” (Ps 78:19)? And that angered God because they questioned His ability to provide. Surely, it looked im-possible, but with God all things are possible! He fed them in the wilder-ness when there was no possibility of them going to the store and buying food; there was no possibility of them making their own provision. God caused manna to rain down from heaven and water to flow out of the rock. God is a supernatural God! Prayer Focus: Lord, let there be a swelling up of faith on the inside of me. Thank you for making what looks impossible, possible! Verse of the Day: Matt 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Living the Word Today: Your situation is not too hard for God. It is not possible to be impossible with God! Have faith for the impossible!

Continue in the Things of God 2Tim 3:14-16 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: We must continue to walk in the things of God and to hear the voice of God and walk in light and obedience of the Word. Having gotten off to a good start, there is not a sure good finish unless we continue. But if we continue, God will strengthen us; He will keep us and so let us not get away from the hope of the gospel. It is amazing how we as people operate when we are in a really desperate situation. We get serious about what we are doing; we work real hard at trying to make things work right; try to cross all our T’s and dot all our I’s. We are diligent in the things that we are doing. But when the pressure gets off and we are no longer under the threat, we have a tendency to get a little relaxed and a little more confident and not be quite as diligent as we used to be. And if we are not watchful, we will continue to do the things that got as where we are. Therefore, continue and do not lose heart! Continue being faithful in reading and praying, in church attendance, in witnessing and do not get away from the Word of God. Continue to confess the Word over your life and be a doer of the Word and not a hearer only. Prayer Focus: Lord, I purpose to continue, in Jesus’ name! Verse of the Day: Matt 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Living the Word Today: Don’t give up, continue in the things of God.

The Truth

John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. When calculating size or distance, we use the known to find out the unknown. We can use a ruler or a measuring tape because we know they will give us the true measurement. We cannot just look and guess the measurement right all the time. We must a known in order to find the unknown. The known is a true measurement. When it comes to the truth of God’s Word, His Word is the measuring stick – that is the truth and all information is measured against it. Therefore, when we want to know what the real truth is, we have to go back to something that we already knew was true. God’s Word is truth! The truth is the fact. Like when we want to know how to spell a word, we refer to the dictionary because we figure the spelling will right in the dictionary. Therefore, what we thought is superseded by what we know is the truth. Similarly, our previous thought process needs to be superseded by the Word of God because God’s Word is the truth. We need to understand that truth is more important and greater than fact. It might be a fact that you have sickness and disease in your body, but the truth of God’s Word says that you are healed by the stripes of Jesus! Let truth prevail. Truth is measured by the Word of God. We need to operate by truth! Prayer Focus: Father, I thank you for your truth operating in my life. Verse of the Day: John 8:31-31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Living the Word Today: Be established in the truth of God’s Word.

Jesus Became Sin for Us

2Cor 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. God sent His Son, Jesus, to become sin for us that we might be made the righteousness of God. He took our sin and gave us His righteousness. When we understand that, we get the revelation that we are not just sinners, but we were sinners who got saved by grace! God took our sin away and gave us His righteousness. What a great exchange! God took away the sting of sin out of our lives and gave us victory in Jesus’ name! When we think about this, it becomes clear to us how God loved us so much that He sent His Son Jesus Christ to become sin for us. We are now the righteousness of God. We are now in right standing with God, the Father, because of what Jesus Christ did for us. God took away the sting of sin, therefore you should not have a sin consciousness, and you should not have a sin mentality or feelings that you do not measure up or that you are not good enough. God has already made you good enough! He has made you somebody! You need to know that in Christ Jesus; then walk and act like that! Prayer Focus: Jesus, I thank you for pouring out your soul as an offering for my sin. Father, I thank you for loving me so much that you gave your Son, Jesus that I might have life more abundantly. Verse of the Day: Isa 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. Living the Word Today: Jesus went in the grave and served our sentence that you and I might go free. So, now God sees you in right standing with Him. That is good news!

Your Labour is not in Vain 1Cor 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. Thank God we have an opportunity to continue serving God and walk with Him, and we need to be cognizant that our labor is not in vain. The Lord will reward us here on this earth, but He will also reward us after we have gone on to heaven. Therefore, our labour in the Lord is not in vain! You are not serving God for naught; you are blessed because you serve God. We need to know that the work that we do and the labours we give are not in vain. “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister” (Heb 6:10). Blessings come your way because you serve God as a Christian, but also in the work that you do and tasks that you carry out. Don’t ever think that they are in vain. Sometimes you cannot see the results or the blessings, but you need to know that if you continue on in the things of God, blessings will come your way. God will cause increase to come your way, because your labour is not in vain. Prayer Focus: Lord, I am committed to continue in the things of God. Verse of the Day: Gal 6:9 let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Living the Word Today: Do not give up, do not faint or cave in under the pressure. Remain steadfast and continue in the things of God. Your Labour is not in vain!

Keep Jesus First

Rev 2:4-5 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. As Christians, we get busy serving and doing the works of God, and that is a good thing; we should do that. But we should never forget what comes first in our lives and who is first in our lives. God is our source and Jesus is the Lord of our lives. We need to remember that this is our first love and that we do not get away from our first love. I love what I do and thank God for the opportunity to serve, but Jesus is the first love of my life. There are people who you love dearly in your life, i.e. husband, wife, children, mother, father, grandparents, etc., but Jesus should still be the first love of your life! Always remember that the Lord is your first love; not what you do, not what you have, nor with whom you can spend time. If you keep God first, everything else falls in order. Therefore, when making decisions and prioritizing your life, remember what/who is first – Jesus is Lord. Keep Him as the first love of your life! Prayer Focus: Thank you, Lord, that Jesus Christ is the first love of my life. Verse of the Day: Matt 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Living the Word Today: As you keep Jesus first, the rest of your life will be blessed because you are giving honor to the first love of your life.

The Lord Gives You Strength for the Journey Isa 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. The task that lies ahead and the things that you are facing today are not greater than the gracing of Almighty God! God will see you through. The Bible says, “Let the weak say I am strong…” Why? Because you are strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. It is His strength that operates within you and empowers you and because of His strength you are going to make it! Even when the tests seem so tough and the trials so furious; in the midst of all of it, God is still there. He is still your strength and your source. It is the power of God working in you that puts you over! So, give God glory, give God praise and expect that God will do great and mighty things on your behalf. The victory is already yours! You are going to make it! So, don’t you even think about giving up; don’t you think about quitting! Believe to see the goodness of the Lord. The enemy meant to take you out by this trial, but the good news is that you win! So, go ahead and shout about it, give God glory and praise. Prayer Focus: Father, I ask that you strengthen me for the journey. Verse of the Day: Ps 27:13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Living the Word Today: Don’t let anything steal your joy or your praise; keep giving God the glory!

Renewed Day by Day 2Cor 4:16-18 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more ex-ceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. As believers, we do not faint due to the pressures, tests and trials of life, because even though our outward man is perishing day by day, we are renewed inwardly day by day! This is a brand new day; the Lord is the strength of your life. He is your source and your supply. He is the one who renews you, gives you a new chance, new en-ergy and new fire! Therefore, even the things we are going through will not stop us. We need to gird up ourselves and say, I am strong in the Lord and in the power of His might! He is the greater one who lives on the inside of me! I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! God’s grace is sufficient for me; therefore, I win! He is the one who strengthens us with strength in our soul. The Lord is the one who renews you inwardly every day. As you get up each morning, you have a brand new start. Thank God for another day! Prayer Focus: Father, thank you for renewing me day by day. I look to you as my source and strength. Verse of the Day: Lam 3:22-23 It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. Living the Word Today: Thank God for another day, thank Him for making you strong and thank Him for keeping you from the hand of the enemy. Victory is already yours!

Deliverance From Persecution 1Pet 3:14-17 But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing. It is important that we as believers understand that test, trials and even persecution may come our way, but the good news is that God delivers us from them all! “Many are the afflictions of the right-eous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all” (Ps 34:19). If you are under persecution or under attack it is important to give God glory and to give God praise. Sanctify the Lord in your heart and look unto Him. Do not compromise, do not veer to the left nor to the right; remain steadfast in the things of God knowing that God will work the situation out. He will bring you through and bring deliverance to you. He will cause you to triumph! And when people ask what’s wrong or how you are doing, tell them, “I have confidence in the Living God!” Always have a ready answer for anyone who asks the reason for your hope; tell them, “My hope is in the Lord! I trust in Him. God will never leave me nor forsake me! He won’t let me down! No weapon formed against me shall prosper! Every tongue that rises against me in judgment, I shall condemn. My outcome shall always be victory!” That is how you have to start talking! Prayer Focus: Father, I ask that you deliver me from every test, trial or perse-cution. Cause me to triumph and to walk in victory. Verse of the Day: Jam 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into di-vers temptations; Living the Word Today: You have victory through Christ Jesus! God always causes you to triumph! Don’t quit! Don’t give up!

Glorify God 1Cor 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. When we really think about it, we realize that we are not our own – we belong to God! Jesus gave His life on the cross for us, and for our Salvation. God made us and He said He made us for His glory. So, we are the sheep of His pasture. We were bought with a price. We need to remind ourselves every day that we have been bought with a price and our purpose here on earth is to glorify God. We are to walk pleasing and upright before God. We ought to endeavor to do all that we know to do, to honor God with our lives and make our lives count for something. I do not want my journey through life to be in vain. I want to make a difference while here on this earth; to touch the lives of others and carry out God’s work. And when all is said and done, I want to hear “Well done, thou good and faithful servant…: enter thou into the joy of thy lord” (Matt 25:21). We need to glorify God and not dishonor our lives and dishonor God by letting sin come in nor by living a lethargic life! Our desire should be to please God, to glorify Him, that Christ may be seen big in us. Prayer Focus: Lord, it is my heart’s desire to please you and to glorify you. Verse of the Day: Matt 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Living the Word Today: Purpose to glorify God.

Neither be Troubled 1Pet 3:14 But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; When you are doing what is right, you can walk in faith and you can walk with assurance. You know that the Lord is on your side. “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear” (1Pet 3:14). We should not be lifted up in pride, but we need to be bold and confident in who we are in Lord. Let the Lord be your strength and your source. You will make it-- through Christ! He is your keeper; He has kept you thus far and He will continue to keep you. It is in Him you live, move and have your being.

There are those who will not rejoice over the fact that you are saved. Some will try to bring persecution upon you and talk you out of your salvation, but you need to have a good conscience. When they speak evil of you, make sure that you are doing what’s right before God. Let them stand before God ashamed that they have falsely accused you. Stay true to your convictions and don’t let the pressures of this world pull you away from the things of God. Make up your mind that you will make it no matter what they throw at you! Keep on walking and don’t get caught up in trying to answer to all that people say about you. Make up your mind to just please God and do what is right in his sight. God will take you through; He will keep you! Prayer Focus: Father, strengthen me in the midst of persecution and suffering for righteousness sake. Verse of the Day: 1Pet 3:16-17 Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing. Living the Word Today: Keep walking with the Lord. Don’t give up and don’t compromise.

Blessed are the Persecuted Matt 5:10-12 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. God calls you blessed when you are persecuted for righteousness sake. So, you ought to start calling yourself blessed. Stop thinking that you are under the curse or why “all these things” keep happening to you. Remember that it is for righteousness sake. It is because you have a righteous stance. “Rejoice and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you” (Matt 5:12). Start rejoicing; don’t let the devil have the privilege of thinking he is getting to you! Give God glory and give Him praise! When you are going through you ought to be the first one to praise God, you ought to make more noise than anybody else. Thank God your outcome shall always be victory! Not only will you overcome, but you have a great reward in heaven! The prophets were persecuted, Jesus was persecuted, saints of old were persecuted, and others are going through, also. We are not exempt from it; but thank God we are protected from it! We are blessed to go through it and not stop in it. The victory is already ours! Prayer Focus: Lord, thank you for blessing me to go through trials and overcome them! Verse of the Day: 2Cor 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. Living the Word Today: If you feel like you have been persecuted for righteousness sake, give God glory and give Him praise! He will always cause you to triumph!

The Presence of the Lord

1Cor 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 1Cor 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? We need to become God inside minded; thanking God always that He is the greater one who lives on the inside of us. We need to start thinking that way so that we can maintain living contact with the Lord. When we understand that God lives in us, then it changes our course of action. So, wherever we go, we are conscious of the fact that God is there with us. Therefore, our actions are controlled because God sees us and lives on the inside of us. As we practice the presence of God and fellowship with Him, we need to realize that He is always present. He will never leave us nor forsake us (Heb 13:5); neither do we want to leave nor forsake Him! We need to become God inside minded. Prayer Focus: Father, I thank you that you are the greater one who lives within me. Verse of the Day: 1John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Living the Word Today: Practice the presence of God and live in the presence of God!

June 21 Happy Father’s Day to All Dads

Honor Your Father Mal 1:6 A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour?... Our Heavenly Father has unconditional love for us. He loved us while we were still in the slime of sin. He loves us even when we do things that displease Him. God, our Father, is love. His love was personified in His Son, Jesus Christ, who died on a cross that we might live. Let’s honor our Heavenly Father by acknowledging Him in all our ways. Honor our Heavenly Father by the words of our mouth and the meditations of our hearts. Let’s honor our Heavenly Father by living a righteous life that pleases Him. Matt 5:16 (AMP) says, “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven”. We should also honor our earthly Fathers. This is God’s commandment. Deut 5:16 says, “Honour thy father and thy mother, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee”. Show love, respect and honor to your father and to the father figures in your life. Payer Focus: Thank you, Lord, for being my Heavenly Father. Isa 64:8 But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand. Living the Word Today: Honor your father. Celebrate your father. Honor the legacy and cherish the good memories of those who have passed. Forgive where needed. Honor those who stepped up to be a father. Honor your spiritual fathers.

The Lord is Our Deliverer

Ps 107:5-6 Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them. Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.

God delivers us out of our distresses. The children of Israel cried unto God in their time of distress. God delivered them from the bondage of Egypt. He delivers His people from distress today when we pray unto Him. God said, in Ps 91:15 “He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.”

When our soul is longing, He is the one who can satisfy us. When we are hungry, He is the one who can fill us. When we have that longing on the inside and nothing is quite satisfying, God is the answer. He is the one who will satisfy us.

“Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!” (Ps 127:21). Praise God even when you feel empty and void on the inside. God will fill you. When you feel like you are in distress, go ahead and praise God. When you are on top of the mountain, you ought to praise God. When you are down in the valley, you ought to praise God. No matter what our situation is, let us go ahead and put our trust and our confidence in the living God. Praise God for His goodness. Count “it” all joy.

Prayer Focus: Father, I thank you for being my deliverer. Thank you for setting me free, Lord.

Verse of the Day: 2Sam 22:2 And he said, The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;

Living the Word Today: Acknowledge that God is your deliverer!

Rooted and Grounded in Christ

Col 2:7-10 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: It is important that we as believers know who we are and that we are rooted and grounded in Christ. That means that we are established in the things of God. Established in the faith that we don’t allow things to come around and shake our faith. Also, when circumstances or situations change, we are steadfast because we know who we are in Christ. We should not be moved by every wind of doctrine that comes along. You don’t change what you believe based on what you are going through! Your heart should be fixed, and your mind made up, Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life. It is in him, I live and move and have my being. It is because of what God has done in my life through Jesus that I am going to make it and I am going to stand! God always causes me to triumph! That should be the attitude of believers. Prayer Focus: Lord, thank you that I can be established in you; rooted and grounded in you. Verse of the Day: Rom 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. Living the Word Today: Do not let things come and move you away from the gospel of Jesus Christ. In Him, you stand fast and you stand strong.

Deny Yourself and Pick up your Cross

Matt 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. We must have the heart attitude that Jesus is first in our life. Jesus said, “For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother” (Matt 12:50). The Bible tells us that we must be willing to forsake family and possession if we are going to follow Christ. Luke 14:26 says, “If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.” Of course, we love our family, but we have to put God first if we really want to be disciples. Luke 14:33 says, “So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.” Therefore, we must make up our minds to be disciples and be willing to forsake all and put Christ first. Prayer Focus: Lord, I make the decision to deny myself and pick up my cross and follow you. Thank you for being Lord of my life. Verse of the Day: Matt 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Living the Word Today: Put the Lord first in your life.

Forgive Matt 18:15-17 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican. We must forgive those who have wronged us. When there is conflict in our lives, we have to try to make it right. We ought to find out what we can do to fix the situation and rectify it. We don’t want to just go through life at odds with someone because maybe they have wronged us or even when we have wronged them. The Bible says you ought to forgive in order to be forgiven, and in order to have your prayers answered, you must forgive. Therefore, we cannot allow things to stay in our lives and rob us of our quality of life, rob us of our faith and rob us of a right relationship with God because we refuse to forgive. Part of forgiving is to let go. It is very important that we, as believers, let go of things and not hold grudges. “Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath” (Eph 4:26). We must learn to walk in forgiveness, and as we walk in forgiveness, we know that we will be forgiven. Prayer Focus: Thank you, Lord, that I can forgive. Help me to get over the offense, the hurt and the pain caused that I may walk in total forgiveness. Verse of the Day: Mark 11: 26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. Living the Word Today: Do not let unforgiveness rob you out of your spiritual walk.

Choose Life Deut 30:19-20 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them. God set before us life and death. He has set before us, blessing and cursing, and we have to make the choice. The words of our mouth casts out a vote and makes our choices. Do we speak life or do we speak death? Do we speak health or do we speak disease? Do we speak blessings or do we speak curses? Do we speak plenty or do we speak lack? We must choose according to the words that we speak. “But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it. See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;” (Deut 30:14-15). The key is to first set our love on God, walk in His ways and keep His commandments. As we begin to do this, out of our mouths shall come out words of life because we have hidden the Word in our hearts. We love God and have put Him first in our lives; we have set spiritual law in motion! There are three votes: God’s desired life for you, the devil trying to give you death and your vote which determines the outcome. Choose life that you might live! Prayer Focus: Father, I make the choice for life. Verse of the Day: John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. Living the Word Today: The choice is yours. Choose life that you may live!

There are Blessings in Walking with God Isa 1:19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: God wants us to have good things; He wants us to be blessed. The question is, are you willing and obedient? Job 36:11 If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures. Prov 28:20 A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent. Matt 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. There are great blessings, great benefits, and great rewards just for serving God. Therefore, keep God first in all that you do and say. Serve Him with a pure heart and watch His abundant blessing pile upon your life. I believe God wants to bless you with heaps, piled up and running over! Prayer Focus: Father, thank you for showering your blessings upon me. Verse of the Day: Ps 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. Living the Word Today: Expect to see the goodness of the Lord. Expect the blessings of the Lord to manifest on your behalf!

Anointed with Fresh Oil Ps 92:10 But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil. The anointing is God upon man doing through man only what God can do. It is the Spirit of the Lord that comes upon you and empowers you for service, to do the work of the Lord and to live this Christian life. We need power for living. The Lord will anoint us with fresh oil. We need to believe God for that fresh oil anointing, and for an outpouring of His Spirit upon us that we might walk in the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit. That we, not only, walk above circumstances, but also that we might have the strength and the drive to go forward and carry out God’s work in the earth realm. It is the anointing that gives you that extra push and fire that you need in order to carry out the work of the Lord. You can go and go and go and if you are not watchful, you can make yourself get a little tired, weary, run down or burned out. But when we walk in the Spirit and in the things of God, God empowers us with supernatural energy and gives us strength for the journey. It is the power of God that works in you and through you that keeps you in every way. There is a gracing that God places upon you that causes you to smile, causes you to have joy, and causes you to have energy. Thank God for that fresh anointing! Prayer Focus: Father, I thank you for the fresh anointing; the freshness of the Holy Ghost at work within, and the fresh power of God working in me and through me. Verse of the Day: Acts 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. Living the Word Today: Believe God for a fresh anointing in your walk with Him.

God will Lead Us Heb 8:10-11 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. When our hearts are right before God, He leads us and puts His law in our hearts and in our minds. There are some things that nobody ever taught you, whether they were right or wrong. You may not necessarily know the verse or scripture that says it is right or wrong, but God will lead you into the pathways of righteousness! In all our ways, He will keep us and direct us because we put our trust and confidence in Him. The Lord will allow us to walk in victory and make right decisions because we chose to serve Him and put Him first in our lives. He will show us things that are not right for us, places that we do not need to go, people we do not need to hang with, or decisions we do not need to make. God has led me out of situations that have kept me out of trouble and from making bad decisions. Especially when I was first born again, there were things that I just didn’t know. I had not come to a place of conviction or received the truth of God’s Word. But God led me, and a check would come in my spirit, “don’t do this or don’t make that decision, or change this in your life”. It does not mean we shouldn’t have teachers, or that nobody else can tell us anything; but when there is no one to tell you, God will lead you and direct you because you trust in Him! Prayer Focus: Father, help me to walk in the pathways of righteousness. Verse of the Day: Acts 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

Thou Shalt Not Be Afraid

Ps 91:5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the

arrow that flieth by day; 6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in

darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

God lives in the heart of the believer by His Spirit. He is the

Greater one who lives within. He is greater than the enemies of

life that we face. He is greater than sickness and disease, He is

greater than poverty, He is greater than fear, and He is greater

than temptation.

Our security is in the Lord. The Lord is never failing, all loving, and

all powerful. His word says in Isa 54:14 “In righteousness shalt

thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou

shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee. 15

Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me:

whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy

sake”.

Prayer Focus: Father, I thank you for your protection.

Verse of the Day: Prov 3:24 When thou liest down, thou shalt

not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be

sweet.

Living the Word Today: Fear not, be glad and keep on rejoicing.

Expect the Lord to do great things. Continue confessing Ps 91:10

which says, “There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any

plague come nigh thy dwelling”.
