Lucy Webb PRINCIPAL Dear Greenmount families Congratulations to Mrs Khans class for their informative assembly last Friday on animal adaptations, and their awesome interactive song Baby Shark’. We really enjoyed seeing the excitement about the learning that is going on in Room 16. Speaking of babies…… we are thrilled to announce that Mrs Jones and her husband have welcomed their beautiful little girl into the world, Clarke Elizabeth Jones was born on 31 st October weighing in at 2.64 kgs. We congratulate them and wish them all the best for their new roles as Mum and Dad. Just a friendly reminder that when families are still on site at the end of the school day that the Kindy/Pre Primary playground is only to be used by the K/PP/1 students. Could parents/carers please ensure they are supervising. Please use the toilets near the basketball courts as teachers are often in their rooms working at the end of the day. Thanks for your understanding. We would also like to remind parents that the road of the kiss and drive section of the car park is a no parking zone’. Please ensure that you park in a bay when you drop off your child to ensure the safety of our students and parents. Last Thursday our Early Childhood children and a couple of our older classes participated in National Outdoor Classroom Day’. They had a wonderful day doing all of their learning outside. Thanks to the staff who planned some incredible outdoor experiences for our children. The benefits of outdoor play include better social skills, enhanced team work, better engagement with learning and Happiness. On Saturday night our Greenmount Fathering Project committee organised a wonderful camp outon our school oval. Thanks you so much to all of the families and the fathering team who made this happen. We heard that it was an awesome night with a massive softball game, picnic dinners, watching the Incredibles 2 movie in the Undercover area, a game of spotlight and delicious bacon and egg rolls for breakfast! What wonderful memories for all involved. Edu Dance is continuing to be one of the highlights of our week. The dances are coming along beautifully, the behaviour and engagement of the students has been brilliant. We are so looking forward to seeing the children perform on our Presen- tation Night on Wednesday 5 th December, starting at 6pm. Make sure you have the date on your calendars! Requirement lists will be going home on Friday. Please check your child’s bag. Natalie Astle (Associate Principal)
