Evaluation

Personally, I think that for my final product I wont use illustration and it takes a lot of time and takes a lot skill to make it look good, neither of which I have. The way it is going I think I will use digital photography, followed by rotoscoping it on Photoshop as I think I am good at this and it wont take a lot of time as I know what I am doing.

Evaluation

I have decided not to create my children's book using illustrations as it would take me a long time as I don’t find drawing the easiest thing to do and to not even complete a small, not very detailed drawing of Ariel, it took me an hour and a half. Although, I think illustrations would be a nice effect to a childs book but I do not have the time or the skill to put detailed illustrations in.

Evaluation

I have chose to do a childrens book and the childrens book I have chosen to do is the danish fairytale, The Little Memaid, by Hans Christian Andersen. I am going to my graphic narrative cartoon style, I decided this after I used the comic book effect on my two pictures of Kylie Jenner and Cara Delevigne, I decided that the this effect wouldn’t be to extreme and wouldn’t fit in with my book. After creating my own illustration, I decided that drawing my pictures wouldn’t be the best idea as after a hour and a half/2 hours my drawing wasn’t even nearly finished.

Evaluation

I have come to the conclusion that for my pictures in my children's book, I will use rotoscoping on Photoshop to create my pictures. I used Photoshop rotoscoping on my picture of Kanye West and I think it works really well which is why I think I’ll use that on my book.

Overall Evaluation

I think my experiments well. I think illustration will not be suited to my work as I explained previously due to the time and skill needed, but rotoscoping will as I am more advanced in this I think.

I think my skill of rotoscoping is good but does have space for improvement, I can practice this during my time creating my book.
