3. What to wear and bring:

• Any EngiNERDs Shirt o If you have paid your VEX Team Fee, see Brandi to get your shirt, sometime after July 9th.

§ You will need to sign for your shirt, and may only collect your own uniform. § You will not receive a Team shirt if you have not paid your VEX Team registration fee (as outlined in the Team Contract, point 8)

o Limited sizes of Team shirts and sweatshirts are available to family and friends in the conference room. See Brandi to purchase. • Closed Toe Shoes - Sandals are NOT permitted, as this is a serious safety concern! • Shorts/Capris/Skirt/Jeans

o Please make sure shorts are a professional and appropriate length, and are well-suited for physical activity. o NOTE: the air conditioning has been fixed, and will be available in all rooms! Yay!

• Bring your own Safety Glasses o If you paid your VEX fee, you will receive a pair of safety glasses with your uniform (when the shirts come in)

• Food o Plan to pack a lunch, or bring funds to purchase lunch. Concessions will be available on site. o Please bring a reusable water bottle, LABALED WITH YOUR NAME AND TEAM NUMBER, and plan to drink lots of fluids. Don’t get

dehydrated! o We may go out to a Team dinner after the event (depends on how everyone is feeling), so bring about $15-20 if you want to go. Location

TBD on the day of the event. 4. What do to there:

• Ask for a Job - We are assigned to help with Field Reset, run a VEX IQ game, monitor the VEX Part Pit, and help as needed throughout the event. See Brandi to get a job assignment (although she will probably send you to Bernadette, the event coordinator).

• Cheer in the Stands – there will be an FRC event running. If you’re not assigned a job at a particular time, feel free to watch matches. • New members can compete the “Scouting” Deliverable:

o This is the only Deliverable that will be available at this event, because it’s more of a Demo than an actual competition. o Visit www.team2337.com/2018vex for more information and Deliverables Training Instructions.

• Help with the Robot – we’ll be running “Adrenaline” from the 2018 Power Up season, and we’ll need to change batteries and do system checks between matches. This is your opportunity to learn more about our robot and the FRC Team.

• Explore the event – RoboCON is awesome, and there’s so much to do and see. Take advantage, and invite your friends and family to come check it out, too. There are lots of activities for kids, and it’s very family friendly! And free!
