Experience in practicing in stimulated teaching is very important for me as a teacher to be. Experiences can serve as the basis for critical reactions of the students to our teaching, as well as ways to gather information that we need to know the objective in the teaching and learning process. In teaching reading we need to know the objective of our lesson, the material, and exercises for students and the strategies how to teach effectively. Well for this subject TSL3083 we were instructed to conduct a stimulated teaching focusing grammar. It’s a pair work and thirty minutes were allocated for each stimulated teaching. In this process our focus item was conjunction. As the first activity we prepared a power point slide game entitled “who wants to be a millionaire”. Well this game was conducted to check on their understanding on conjunction lesson where they were taught previously. We made the game interesting by preparing replica of money. Just the real way the game would be played. Well the pupils enjoyed playing the game and gave their full involvement to conclude the first part of the game. Secondly was the “jumanji” game, where pupils will have to throw the dice and need to pick an envelope which contains word cards and arrange it according to the picture given. We made this activity it in a pocket chart method for an interesting element. Teacher guided while the pupils were doing their activity. The first group who finished yell out “jumani!’. In the end of the activity pupils listed down the conjunction that they found in the sentences. However, the feedbacks from our respective lecturers Mdm. Ruziah and Miss. Patt are the important element in deciding whether our activity was good enough to the pupils. For the first activity, the feedback was rather than teacher reads the question, let pupils read and answer the question. This is because it will help them to trigger on choosing the correct answer. Experience in practicing in stimulated teaching is very important for me as a teacher to be.

Experiences can serve as the basis for critical reactions of the students to our teaching, as

well as ways to gather information that we need to know the objective in the teaching and

learning process. In teaching reading we need to know the objective of our lesson, the

material, and exercises for students and the strategies how to teach effectively.

Well for this subject TSL3083 we were instructed to conduct a stimulated teaching

focusing grammar. It’s a pair work and thirty minutes were allocated for each stimulated

teaching. In this process our focus item was conjunction. As the first activity we prepared a

power point slide game entitled “who wants to be a millionaire”. Well this game was

conducted to check on their understanding on conjunction lesson where they were taught

previously. We made the game interesting by preparing replica of money. Just the real way

the game would be played. Well the pupils enjoyed playing the game and gave their full

involvement to conclude the first part of the game. Secondly was the “jumanji” game, where

pupils will have to throw the dice and need to pick an envelope which contains word cards

and arrange it according to the picture given. We made this activity it in a pocket chart

method for an interesting element. Teacher guided while the pupils were doing their activity.

The first group who finished yell out “jumani!’. In the end of the activity pupils listed down the

conjunction that they found in the sentences.

However, the feedbacks from our respective lecturers Mdm. Ruziah and Miss. Patt

are the important element in deciding whether our activity was good enough to the pupils.

For the first activity, the feedback was rather than teacher reads the question, let pupils read

and answer the question. This is because it will help them to trigger on choosing the correct

answer. And the second feedback was on the use of replica money, my lecturer told that

instead of using the money we might have used something alternatively such as, books or

tokens as for the organization of pupils answering the questions, I instructed them to carry

up their hands, well logically all the pupils will do it at the same time, so my lecturer felt that it

could have been in some other way where all of the pupils get the chance to answer. May be

taking turns, for an example let’s say the first group did not answered correctly, give the

chance to the next group. So this will give the chance for all the pupils to participate

As for the second activity, my lecturers felt that it is a bit advanced for the year 3

pupils because our level of students was mixed ability, the exercise might have been

acceptable if pupils were only have to find the proper conjunctions rather than making

sentences. Well this activity was created according to our objective where in the end of the

lesson pupils will be able to make 3 out of 5 simple sentences. But the feed backs really

helped us to ponder our strength and weaknesses so that in future we would be more

cautious on preparing the teaching activity,

Being a teacher looks like an easy job but in real world it is full of challenges.

Creative thinking is one of the important things needed in teaching. Prepare an eye catching

visual aid to attract the students was one of the things I have done. On the one hand, I

should make a comfortable and fun teaching and learning process. On the other hand, I

should focus on my lesson’s objective. Moreover, consider many aspects needed in my

lesson’s objective to assess students are another important thing. Make vary in test items,

but still related to my lesson objective made me use all of my energy. Because of the

lesson’s objectives play important role in the teaching learning process, it should be clear.

To improve my material and the stimulated teaching, I need to learn more on

understanding on grammar issues and practice more of the way to teach grammar. By doing

these things, I can learn from my experience and mistakes that I have done before so that I

can more readily to prepare my material, stimulated teaching and the real teaching and

learning process.
