INTRODUCTION

Graffiti Spirits Group is an independently owned cocktail bar and restaurant company based and originating in Liverpool.

Over the last seven years, we have been an integral part of the rapid growth and transformation of Liverpool’s thriving night-life industry, creating some of the city’s most unique and award winning food and drink venues.

We are proud as a company to develop everything in-house; from business plans and models, menus, interior design, ingredients, merchandise and the day-to-day running of each venue. Our dedicated and ever expanding work force work hard too produce the best possible experience for our guests.

Growing at a rate of one new venue every year we have very exciting plans to go further afield over the next few years.2016 was a year of growth in many ways for the Graffiti Spirits Group. We opened Santa Maluco and continued our search for more sites in the latter part of the year. Proof of how the Group has matured was evident in our accomplishments in being nominated for many prestigious awards.

For example, we were included in the top 5 regional tourism businesses at the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards at the beginning of the year.

At the Merseyside Independent Business Awards in the summer, our directors were short-listed from more than a thousand businesses and all highly commended in the Independent Business Person of the Year category. One of the highlights of 2016 was founders John Ennis and Matthew Farrell being included in North West Business Insider’s acclaimed 42 under 42, the class of 2016’s entrepreneurs and pioneering achievers in business.

The Graffiti Spirits Group was also voted by judges as one of the Top 50 companies at the Northern Restaurant Bar Awards 2016 whilst Matt Farrell received a Downtown in Business Award - Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2017.

GSG will be targeting a number of equally high profile regional, trade and national business awards in 2018.

Santa Chupitos is Liverpool city centres original independent cocktail bar. Specialising in rum but offering a lot more than just that, this cocktail emporium can be found on the corner of the cobbled streets in the Ropewalks area. A late night bar every night of the week our signature cocktail the ‘five dollar shake’ boasts vodka, black raspberry, jam and ice cream served up in a milk bottle and sold by the thousands. People flock from miles around to grab a bottle!

Situated on the edge of Chinatown Slim’s Pork Chop Express offers traditional, authentic BBQ smoking techniques, creating a unique smoked meats selection. The kitchen is dedicated to using only the highest quality, locally sourced produce, with its link to Liverpool’s Chinatown a must try Dim Sum menu is also available. For guests with a love of cult movies there is also the homage to 80’s American fantasy, martial arts film ‘Big Trouble in Little China’ directed by John Carpenter (who has himself visited the restaurant!) visible throughout the décor, food and drinks menu. We have been active at many different types of outside events. Often with a singular concept or merging food and drink together. We have the flexibility to bring a tailored experience to any occasion. Recent events have included the Liverpool Food and Drink Festival serving ribs, pulled pork, brisket, smoked meat sandwiches and cocktails from Salt Dog Slim’s and Independent Liverpool’s Oktoberfest serving steins of Dortmunder beer from a bespoke bar and hot dogs from our portable kitchen. Salt Dog Slims can be seen providing the ‘steins and brines’ or a more cocktail led experience and can bring various elements of the bar to your event. Our outdoor smoker (Slims Pork Chop Express) can be found at various food and drink events across the North West.

When our old friends Bold Street Coffee needed a new home whilst vital works on their original site took place, we didn’t hesitate to bring them over to Castle Street for a collaboration. As a result of its success we decided to make things permanent by moving back into their old home in 89 Bold Street together.

We are delighted to have this new addition to our ever growing portfolio. The venue itself is a elegant, timeless coffee house and a cultural hub for many people.
