show Mr Henshaw and Ms Morgan Health: This week we are exploring problem solving strategies. Read the example below.

This device is also brightly coloured, but it is also made of very tough rubber. Tigers can use their teeth to munch on it, and the rubber makes a loud squeaky sound when chewed, stimulating the tiger’s sense of hearing.

This device is made of tough rope, so tigers can explore their sense of taste, chewing as hard as they want without breaking it. It is also rough, so when the tiger runs their paws over it, they experiment with their sense of touching. Activity: What will yours look like? Use anything you have at home already available: cardboard boxes, yoghurt tubs, tissue boxes, paper rolls, food bags. Please don’t feel the need to go out and spend money on materials to use, stay home and stay safe! Reflection: Take a photo of your creation and write a short paragraph about how it stimulates the animal’s senses, just like I've done above!

a dessert (cake, cupcake, ice-cream, banana split etc.) to make. You won’t have enough clay to create both adequately. Search images of food dishes on Google or look in some recipe books for inspiration.

2. Once you have decided what you will be creating, place cornflour in a bowl.

3. Slowly add glue. Keep adding glue until the mixture reaches a good consistency. If it’s too crumbly, add more glue. If it’s too sticky, add more corn flour.

4. Knead it like you would a bread dough recipe, until it’s soft, light and malleable, not sticky at all.

5. Now it’s time to create your food items. Think about size and proportion and if you’re making more than one item how much clay to use for each.

6. Place your clay food somewhere safe to air dry – 2 to 4 hrs.

7. Once hard, colour/decorate with paint or textas.

**You can make your banquet items out of playdough if you can’t make clay. Option 3: Recreate a Masterpiece
