GPA–Athon! National Honor Society 2011 - 2012 Every year, the Mount Pleasant High School chapter of the National Honor Society holds a GPA Athon Fundraise. Honored members receive pledges based on their grade point average. The total amount the sponsor donates is based on the amount they are willing to award for one grade point average. (Refer to the example below). All proceeds will go to furthering the cause of the National Honor Society, a prestigious honorary society for students who have shown both academic and exemplary service to their community. Specifically, proceeds will go to funding the induction ceremony for new members that have been selected (upon application) to be honored and toward other charitable means customary to the National Honor Society.
