SpreadsheetsSince most of us already have Excel spreadsheets created, remember that you can upload them into Google Spreadsheets.

Page 16: Google presentation

SpreadsheetsSimilar to other spreadsheet applications, Google Docs spreadsheet allows you to enter your data into the respective fields. If you already have a spreadsheet created you can import just like you import/upload a document. You can adjust the size of the cells by moving the lines in the blue shaded areas at the top and to the left of the spreadsheet cells.

Organize Cell DataIf your cell data is composed of text, Google Spreadsheet will quickly alphabetize it for you. Click the “sort” link within the tool bar along the top of the spreadsheet. Click on the “Sort Tab” for more options. You may freeze header rows or columns to prevent them from being included in the sort.

FormsYou can use Google Docs to create an online form. You can then email a link to the form or post a link to the form on your web site. When the participants complete the form and hit submit, the data is dumped into an online spreadsheet.

Sharing with Selected UsersWhen you share a file with someone, it shows up in his/her Google Docs Homepage. Only 10 people can edit a document at the same time. However, you can share a document with 200 people. Once the document’s refreshed or auto saved, collaborators will be able to see you changes.
