In Class with
Kindergarten
Our Kindergarten students have had an amazing start to the year. They have been showing great enthusiasm and developing fundamental educational and social skills which will help them grow into fine young citizens.
KE students have been learning about spiders and creating spider hats because i.i.i is the sound of the week and it is the first sound in ‘Incy Wincy Spider’.

Is your child too sick for school?
There are a number of transmittable illnesses in our school community at the moment.
If your child is showing any symptoms of illness we advise they should be kept at home to ensure a full recovery and to avoid transmitting the illness to other children.
World Day of Prayer
Friday 6 March our leaders attended the annual World Day of Prayer at the Anglican Church. Communities around the world participate in this event that each year focuses on a particular country. Our school leaders had the honour of participating in the service. As always our leaders represented GIPS with Pride and Respect.

James and the Giant Peach Book Review by Lillee-Beau
Possum Room – Yr 6
James and the Giant Peach is a story about a sad, lonely little boy named James Henry Trotter.
What I like about the book: I like James and The Giant Peach because it has awesome describing words, and a really intriguing story with loveable
characters.
Who is my favourite character: My favourite character in James and the Giant Peach is the centipede. He is really funny and I love how he has the guts to mess with the Cloud Men and his character’s obsession with his shoes is the best.
What I don’t like about the book: I like everything!
Overall James and the Giant Peach is a great example of Roald Dahl’s creativity and book writing skills. I would suggest you read this book when you have time.
