Development of Ministry National Guard’s Strategy:
Development of the MNG Health Affairs’ Strategy:
This project aims to study and assess the current state of the MNG, define the strategic approach which includes the mission, vision and objectives and creating an operating model for the ministry for the coming years.

Establishment of the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO):
This project aims to design and operate an Enterprise Project Management Office that ensures compatibility with strategic objectives and projects governance.

2.0To maximize the benefit of the existing knowledge and make it the primary source for the Ministry of National Guard, we continue working as one team, sharing thoughts, and unifying our efforts. MNGDP team has worked on the following activities:
With the participation of stakeholders in the Ministry of National Guards, workshops have been held to discuss the outcomes of the strategy phase. In addition to discussing the drafted components of the Target Operating Model for the Ministry.

The healthcare strategy development project team continues to conduct workshops to discuss the ‘Target Operating Model’ for the health affairs with leaders from different departments such as Military Field Medicine, Research and Education.
The MNGDP team continues to conduct sessions to discuss the Health Affairs future Operating Model in the Ministry of National Guards:

As an extension of the previous studies done by the EPMO team, which includes members from the MNGDP and MNG, information was collected from 614 projects and interviews were conducted with more than 40 MNG and MNGHA leaders and members. A greater understanding of the current situation of project management, governance, processes, risks and challenges were amongst the most significant findings.

After finishing the current state assessment, the EPMO team started the second phase of the project which is designing the Operating Model for the establishing the EMPO and satellite PMO . At this stage, EPMO team will start conducting workshops with MNG and MNGHA leaders and members. Moreover, they will be comparing international best practices to find the optimum design in accordance with the needs of the Ministry.

Based on the outputs of the two strategies development projects for MNG and MNGHA, six main streams have been identified and are going to be studied in detail, as shown below:
Deep Dives are a collection of initiatives that aim to study the current state of the identified streams in both strategies in details. These initiatives will compare and analyze best practices and propose most fit design of solutions for these streams.
