Flick Anticimex

Flick Pest Control was founded in 1918 by W.A. Flick, professional pest exterminator. When the family sold the business in 1986, W. A. Flick & Co. had long been Australia’s largest pest control company, and one that was among the largest in the world.

Over the years that followed, we continued to expand our range of services, introducing washroom services and hygiene consumables.

In 2013, Flick was acquired by Anticimex, a specialised pest control, hygiene and building environment company that creates safe and healthy indoor environments for more than 2.2 million customers worldwide.

Through prevention, new technology and sustainable solutions we meet the demands for healthy environments and offer our customers peace of mind in their daily lives. Our aim is to provide safe and effective pest control protecting our customers’ environments from pests and bacteria to avoid bad health, business interruptions and financial losses.

Termite Solutions

Termites are the world’s most destructive pest and cause more damage to homes than fire and storms combined. Australians spend around one billion dollars each year on termite treatments and repairs.

Subterranean termites live in the ground, often in vast, unseen colonies located under and around buildings. Their main source of food is timber – and the wood used in commercial properties provides an attractive (and expensive!) meal. Serious damage can be caused in a matter of months, sometimes even weeks.

One termite colony can contain up to a million hungry termites. In some species, the mature queen can produce thousands of eggs a day! This is why minor termite activity can quickly grow into a major infestation. Flick strongly recommends inspections of your property at least annually to identify termite and timber pest activity and potential termite related risks. Early detection will help significantly reduce damage and the cost of repairs.

YOUR TECHNICIAN WILL:

Inspect the main building and all attached structures built from timber or other timber products such as ply board, within the property boundaries; and also

Inspect timber fences, decks, pergolas, outbuildings, trees and landscape timbers within the property boundaries.

Following an inspection, your Flickman will provide a detailed treatment or prevention program with quotation; which may include recommendations for monitoring, baiting systems, chemical soil treatments and termite colony location and eradication.

Termite Baiting Systems, Chemical Treated Zones and other Termite Treatments as required.

Upon acceptance of the proposal, all products used on site shall be supported with the applicable Safety Data Sheets, which are easily accessible online via our customer portal.

All termiticide products used by Flick are approved and registered with the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority.

All treatment methods are consistent with the descriptions outlined in the Australian Standards for Treatment of Existing Buildings.

Flick Anticimex offers a variety of solutions to the pest bird problems at your workplace. Our Pest Bird Feeding and Trapping Programs are recognised by the R.S.P.C.A. and S.P.C.A., Parks and Wildlife and Dept. of Agriculture as an acceptable and humane method of feral pigeon control. Pigeons are an introduced bird species and are considered a pest, especially in built-up areas.

A Pest Bird Feeding Program includes the use of specialised hallucinogenic-based bird feed formulations. A Feeding Program achieves excellent results when carried out correctly and is very cost-effective compared to alternative control methods available.
