    ANDY CHUNG AND FRIENDS: On this coming Tuesday we have two "local heroes" coming to play. Support is Eileen Penman, late of Stairheed Gossip among others and a good musician in her own right. But, as a main act we have one of my all time favourites, Andy Chung! He is bringing with him a couple of friends including Iain MacDonald. Andy is a totally unique performer. He is of Chinese ethnicity but was born in Fife and speaks with a broad Fife/Scottish accent which, when you first hear it is slightly surprising.     BALTIC PASSION With Mr McFalls Chamber: The pioneering Scottish ensemble Mr McFalls Chamber, with their guests Cyril Garac (violin) and Maria Martinova (piano), delve into the fascinating diverse musical culture of the Baltic States to explore its rich emotional landscapes and colourful mix of musical styles. The concert features pieces from Estonian minimalist Arvo Prt with works by Zita Bruait and Erkki-Sven Tr, a helping of music from Scandinavia and a haunting sextet arrangement of Sibelius Einsames Lied and Olli Mustonens fiery Toccata for piano and strings.     JULY Mendelssohn on Mull Festival Mull July 1-6 As a young man, the composer Felix Mendelssohn made a life changing journey through Scotland to Mull where he found inspiration to write one of his most famous pieces The Hebrides Overture, Fingals Cave. Each year the Mendelssohn on Mull festival, under the artistic directorship of Levon Chilingirian in-vites a small group of young musi-cians at the start of their profes-sional careers to take part in an ex-traordinary week of discovery and performance. They are mentored by highly experienced players of chamber music, and perform to au-diences in such diverse venues as the tiny Creich Church, which seats about 50 people, and the imposing grandeur of Duart Castles Great Hall.
