1. Admin View. Configuring the Extension


Please log in as admin and go toSystem > Configuration > Gift Registryin order to configure the extension settings

Enables/disables the extension

“Yes” places “Notice, that registrant wants only “x” items of “product” text above the cart (in the cart section only) when buyer intends to purchase more items than were requested by registrant

“Yes” sends notifications to the specified below email each time a new registry is created, removed or expired and after a gift is purchased

Registrants are able to share their registries by emailing others straight from their account

Please note that Event Types are not created automatically during the extension installation.The type is a required “attribute” and needs to be specified by registrants when they create their gift lists. So, it needs to be filled out by admin right after the extension installation.

3. Customer’s View. Creating a Registry

Please note that registry events need to be created by admin firstly (for more information please refer to the paragraph “Event Types”)

Registrants can protect their registries from viewing by unauthorized persons. A registry protected by password can be only viewed after a person inputs the secret code into a special field blocking them from viewing the details of the registry.

Customer can search registries by registrant’s First Name and/or Last Name. If there are several registries found under the same name then all of them will be listed.

4. Customer’s View. Adding Gifts to Registry

Customers can add products to their gift registries by clicking Add to Registrylink either at the product list or product view page.Please note that guests will be proposed to log in firstly once they click the link.

5. Customer’s View. Managing the Gifts

Customers can specify the priority of the gifts (how strongly they wish to receive them), add comments and indicate the wished number of items of a particular gift

In case if customers have more than one registry created they can move their gifts from one registry to another

A product of any type can be added to the gift list (bundle product, configurable, simple product with custom options, etc.)Although, please note that once the product is added to the gift list its options can’t be modified. In order to do so a customer needs to re-add the product with a new set of options

All the registries created by customers are listed here.To view the details of a particular registry click on it.

7. Admin View. Registry Details

Items tab displays products info added to registry as gifts

Event Details tab lists the info about the registrants

Orders tab contains the info about the orders made in the scope of a particular registry

8. Customer’s View. Sharing the List of Gifts

Registry owners can share their registries by sending emails to gift givers. In this case email recipients will get a special link that bounds with the shared list only and allows buyers to view the list, add gifts to cart and complete the purchase.

9. Customer’s View. Identifying the Gift Givers

Registry owners can also view who bought the gifts and read their greetings if were left during the purchase


10. Customer’s View. Searching the Registry

By default a special Search Registry block is pasted into the right column after the extension installation. It allows gift givers to search registries by the name of registry owner in case they don’t have the registry link
