Elmer’s Great North Parade Little Trail.

Elmer is different,Elmer is Patchwork.

As you are out and about on the trail,keep a lookout for the 114 little Elmers displayed in indoor

public venues across Tyne and Wear.Elmer’s Great North Parade Little Trail is the result of a region-wide

education programme, sponsored by First Class Supply, which has

engaged young people from nurseries, schools, and youth groups from

across the local community.Over 30,000 young people have spent their summer term experiencing

and enjoying the magic of visual arts while undertaking their own

fundraising for St Oswald’s Hospice Children’s Service. All of their

individually designed Little Elmers are displayed in ‘little herds’ in

venues across Tyne and Wear (please see map overleaf). After the trail,

the children will welcome their Elmer back to their school or group to

love and cherish forever.A very big thank you to everyone who has embraced this project –

your collective creativity is nothing short of ‘ele-fantastic!’
