*Why this needs to happen!
All humans are dependent on clean, potable water for survival
Over a billion people to do not have access to clean water
21st Century issue that will directly impact students in the future

Science department will have an hands on activity where student and families can learn how to purify water

*Social Studies Station
*The Spectacular Social Studies Department will be sponsoring a game station
*We will need three to five laptops at this station

*English Station *Our Excellent English will
be sponsoring a community and student essay writing contest. * Students and community
members will write an essay about how they can reduce their daily water usage *They will also draw and
color a picture demonstrating how they would do this* The winner will receive a
donated gift card to the Cheesecake Factory
*Math Station *The Magnificent Math
department will sponsor a water balloon toss. *Participants will toss a
water balloon back and forth for a certain amount of time. Each time the balloon breaks they will have to solve a math problem to get another balloon. *The team that solves the
most problems wins a free admission to Wet and Wild Amusement Park
Raffle *Conservation gift
basket* Include low flow
shower heads, coupon for 50 dollar off septic pump out, and other items
*Admission for 2 to the Aquarium

Dress Down for Water
*Everyone in the District will be able to dress down on Friday May 2nd if they donate 5 dollars
Walk a-thon *Students will obtain sponsors and walk for clean water
*Follow Up Fundraisers
*Rita’s Water Ice !!
Rita’s will sell water ice with a portion of the proceeds going to water conservation
