Guten Tag: I hope you are all doing well coping with the severe winter weather.

Please be careful when you are away from home. Due to the extreme

cold, there are icy patches which can cause falls resulting in serious

injury.

This Sunday is our Super Bowl Party at the clubhouse. Steve Brunner,

Bryan Traynor and many others have worked to make this event a

success. Please join in on the fun as we watch a new football champion

crowned. There will be plenty of food, refreshments, raffles, prizes and

fellowship. Further details are contained in this newsletter. I hope to see

you there.

Aside form Valentine's Day, February is Rat Race month at the GASC.

At the end of this month's membership meeting, we will be having our Rat

Race. Historically, our members have looked forward to this. Come and

cheer on your favorite rat as he or she crosses the finish line.

Please remember our food pantry donations. Our club is constantly

looking for food donations which are given to the food pantry at a local

church. Let's remember those less fortunate and donate food for those

families in need.

A friendly reminder......Please send your 2014 dues to Monika Wolf as

soon as possible. Your dues help pay for the upkeep of our clubhouse.

 PLEASE  NOTE:  The  March  Membership  Meeting  has  been  changed  from  Saturday  March  15  to  Sunday  March  16.  Rudy  and  Sig  Meyer  will  again  serve  their  wonderful  corned  beef  dinner.  Doors  open  at  3:00  P.M.  

Food  Pantry  

The  GAC  regularly  donates  food  items  to  a  local  food  pantry.    Please  bring  your  nonperishable  food  donations  to  the  clubhouse  on  Friday  nights  or  meeting  nights.    

Super Bowl at the Clubhouse It’s not to late to join the fun as we watch the Super Bowl together. Come to the clubhouse on Sunday February 2 to see the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks battle for the Super Bowl Championship. All are welcome! For details please see the flyer at the end of this newsletter.

Tag Sale April 5

Clean out your attic and basement. Bring useable items to the club on Friday nights or to a meeting. No broken furniture please.

Mahopac Saint Patrick’s Day Parade

Marchers are needed to represent our club for the Mahopac St. Patrick's

Day Parade on March 9th, 2014. Family and friends are welcome to march

with us. After the parade, marchers and non-marchers can celebrate at

Brodie's Pub. If you are interested in marching or celebrating or both,

contact Kurt Kampp at (914) 826-1530 or kwkampp@yahoo.com. If you are

interested, it is important to notify Kurt no later than March 3rd, because he

has to make reservations at Brodie's.

CLUB DUES ARE DUE

membership dues are $75.00 per year. Please send or give your dues payment to Monika Wolf. Members who have belonged to the club for ten years and are collecting social security are entitled have their dues reduced to $40.00.
