New Mechanism of Genomic Instability

Revealed

August 21, 2011

Page 6: Genetic Transcription

In order to achieve a well-understanding on genomic instability, researchers designed an investigation to determinate how bacteria react to different stressors.

Page 7: Genetic Transcription

Results suggest that an important connection between replisome and RNA polymerase respect to DNA strand breaks; the first is responsable of a collision to a RNA polymerase backwards, generating that DSBs.

The results of this investigation lead the researchers community to understand that ribosome is the first entity that can identifies the damage done to the cell.

The only way to stabilize different genomic mechanism is knowing how exactly the bacteria dissorders the internal cell functions. This way different threatment can be developed in this medical field.

Genetic 'Signature' Discovered in Plaque, Possible Key to Future

Treatment

August 5, 2011

Page 11: Genetic Transcription

By researching, a particular genetic signature related to plaques and stroke was found. Acknowledging this, investigators develop multiple options of future treatments.

Using micro RNAs genetic signatures investigators were allowed to replicate and determinate which plaque on artery walls was dangerous.

All efforts of researches are the focused to control and disarm dangerous plaques and factors that lead to stroke or other diseases.

Page 14: Genetic Transcription

The fact that only strokes patients present miRNA, leads the medical community to a clearer picture and understanding of this diseases conditions, prevention and actual treatment

Medical Utility

Page 16: Genetic Transcription

Genetic transcription occurs every day on all human beings. Therefore medicine must investigate and know about the topic.

Page 17: Genetic Transcription

Because every single pathology on human is related to DNA, the alteration and acknowledging of the same can prevent and treat some diseases.

Only backgrounded and respectable researches allow the medical community to take accurated decisions and clearer analysis on several human and medical fields.
