While progress is being made to address gender parity, there is still a way to go…
‘In 2017, the average progress on closing the global gender gap stands at 68%, meaning that an average gap of 32% remains to be closed worldwide’ (Global Gender Gap Report, 2017)

Women in Leadership..
• Women tend to be more transformational than men (Bass, 1999)
• Communication, coaching, developing others and time management more highly correlated to female managers than male managers (Burke & Collins, 2001)
• Women are less likely to adhere to the traditional command and control leadership style (Rosener, 1990 cited Silvestri, 2007).
• Women tend to adopt a more democratic or participative style than men (Fitzsimmons & Callaan, 2016)
• Feminine practice promotes values of mutuality, interdependence, inclusion, cooperation, nurturance, support, participation, self-determination and empowerment (Ferguson, 1984; Martin, 1993 cited in Silvestri, 2007)
