Garment Guidelines for Military, Law Enforcement, and FirefightersStandard white temple garments should be worn by endowed members. However, military and certain public service organizations (as listed below) are approved to wear uniform clothing items that have been marked by Beehive Clothing as authorized garments when they meet the following requirements:

1. Uniform policy dictates that no other undergarment may be worn and that the designated uniform item is the only undergarment permitted.

2. Wearing the standard white temple garment could endanger the wearer’s life.3. Harsh environments or working conditions are such that wearing an additional undergarment besides the required

uniform item would place the wearer at significant risk of harm or injury.4. Organization insignia, such as name and branch of service, are allowed. No other logos or insignia are permitted.

Words and images not in harmony with the sacred nature of the garment are not permitted.5. Tank tops and sleeveless shirts will not be marked. All shirts must have sleeves and necklines similar to standard

temple garments.6. Colored undershorts may be marked (note the following organizations), provided they are modest and have at least

a seven-inch inseam.

Only endowed members of the organizations listed below are eligible to have their clothing items marked by Beehive Clothing.

Beehive Clothing will place marks in uniform TOPS and BOTTOMS for the following endowed members:

• Military personnel• U.S. Border Patrol officers• Military contractors serving in a combat area and

required to wear a military uniform• Police officers who wear uniform bicycle police shorts

(these may have markings)

Beehive Clothing will place marks in uniform TOPS ONLY for endowed members of these organizations:

• Special forces• SWAT team• FBI or CIA• Firefighters• Police or highway patrol• Undercover police• Other equivalent organizations outside the U.S.

Uniform items submitted for marking that do not meet the requirements as listed will be returned unmarked.

Beehive Clothing produces garment tops and bottoms for military personnel in the current color required by the U.S. Army. Women may use the men’s garments, wear the white garment bottoms, or special-order women’s garment bottoms.

All other required clothing, approved by the organizations above, should be purchased by the customer through regular military or employment clothing suppliers and shipped to Beehive Clothing in Salt Lake City to be marked.

HOW TO ORDEREndowed members who meet the above requirements should:

• Purchase uniform items (through regular military or employment clothing suppliers).• Send items to be marked, along with the completed form, to the address indicated on the form.

Costs:• Members in the U.S. mailing their clothing items: $1.50 (USD) per item marked and $3.00 for shipping and handling.• Members outside the U.S.: There is no charge for marking and return shipping.• In the case of financial hardship, take items to be marked, along with the completed order form, to a local

Distribution Services store.
