The game will be sold on the Apple app store.

Game event calendar

PAX and E3 seem to be the

most applicable events for my

games release.

From this i think the best time to

get the word out about my game

would be early april before pax.

The best way to do this would

be either have distributors giving

out leaflets, t-shirts or stickers.

And then get the tv and online

adds out.

Rating for my game

My game fits into the 9+ rating-

To get to the treasure you have to run

through walls, parents could object to

this as stealing isn’t an idea to give kids

and running at walls isn't the best idea

either. As the idea of being controlled

by an alien could be intimidating.

Page 11: Game marketing plan

Given the rating, style and difficulty

level of my game, it would be aimed

and most played by 9-12 year olds.

The merchandise would also appeal to

a younger audience but some might

appeal to a slightly older group.

E.g. The T-shirts. As the t shirts are of a

graphic and si-fi inspiration.

Direct advertising

Page 13: Game marketing plan

I started by deciding how to get the

audience to know about the game and

to get hooked. Advertising through a

kids TV channel would be the best idea.

I researched it and found, tuner media

innovations.

Where to advertise?

Page 14: Game marketing plan

Where they advertise

I think the best channel to

advertise on would be

cartoon network, down to my

target audience.

About cartoon network

Page 16: Game marketing plan

What they do

Any of these would

work to advertise my

game but i think

airtime and online

would be best.

Page 17: Game marketing plan

Online advertising An image-based popular form of website

advertising.

Page 18: Game marketing plan

Bus advertising Given busses are every where and are

seen by everyone i figured this would

be a good place to advertise.

Ideas-I thought of various ideas in which i could

advertise my game-

Talk to a podcast or review company

/radio station to review my game.

Publicity stunt- Tentacle in the street

and stickers stuck around to finalise the

ad.

Page 22: Game marketing plan

Feedback on ideas-

I got feedback on my ideas and found

the publicity stunt too be the stronger

idea.

Page 23: Game marketing plan

IdeasFrom the feedback i researched the idea to

see how realistic this would be and how much

a tentacle would be.

I thought the price was good

and realistic. I think too back

this up i’d stick stickers in the

surrounding area with a qr

code on for the game.

Promotion

Page 26: Game marketing plan

How to promote?

To promote my game i could-

Do a competition or t-shirt giveaway to

get people talking about my game and

too familiarise them with the logo.

Page 27: Game marketing plan

I think sticking stickers around would be

good as if people saw them multiple

times they be curious as to what it is

and also have someone distributing

leaflets and stickers in the street and

too people . I’ll put a qr code on there or

redeem code (alien50) for 50% off the

game and the QR code will take you to

where you need to enter it.

Page 28: Game marketing plan

This will be used for my stickers and

leaflets as if there the same it would be

more familiar too the customer.

Evaluation

Overall my marketing plan went well

and after peer & teacher feedback there

were only a few things that need and

were worth adding/changing so i’m

happy. But next time or if i had another

chance i would us my time better and

just work harder as i felt with more work

i could have added and thought about it

more.
