OTHER EVENTs

Title: Nature’s way according to Gambero RossoDate: 07/04/2013Time: 15.30Location: sala Orchidea Palaexpo, entrance A1 (piano/level - 1)

Sunday 7, at 15.30, the three editors of Guida Vini d’Italia del Gambero Rosso will present a tasting focused on natural viticulture. Among the many Tre Bicchieri that won awards, 90 are produced by wineries particularly attentive to their environmental impact, that work with traditional, low-intervention technologies in their cellars or don’t filter their wines, and use minimal quantities of sulphur. Nine labels from nine wineries have been selected to describe an approach that causes much discussion, but that represents one of the new frontiers of viticulture.

VIVIT RETuRNsOrganized by Vinitaly

in cooperation with Vite

After the extraordinary success of its first edition we herald the return of Vivit - Wines, Winegrowers and Terroirs, the pavilion dedicated to wines produced by wineries that are particularly sensitive to environmental issues. The exhibition returns with a new look to expand its offerings and respond to the interest shown by operators, and in a new location: hall 11. Vivit is synonymous with “hand-made” wines that seek to be the authentic expression of the land where they are produced, wines that encourage diversity, awareness and involvement. Vivit brings together producers from around the world who are keen to express themselves through transparency, authenticity and individuality. As for the first edition, self-certification is necessary. Among the International exibitors we suggest you try the Jura wines from Domaine de la Pinte, Champagne from Francois Bedel e Fleury, as well

Where to Eat

Here are three suggestions for places to eat in and

around Verona. If you’re coming to Vinitaly, you’ll be happy to know about these.

Osteria sottoriva

Near Verona’s Piazza dei

Signori, Osteria Sottoriva is a

very special place. A few tables,

tranquil and relaxed atmosphere,

superb wine list with a large

selection of sparkling, natural,

biodynamic and organic wines.

Among the many specialties

are smoked carpaccio di cavallo

(horsemeat), meatballs, tripe,

polenta and gorgonzola. Don’t

skip dessert, but opt for apple

cake with dried fruit or ricotta

cake with berries and a tiny glass

of bittersweet chocolate

with cream and

100% Arabica

coffee.

Locanda Le Grazie

Curtatone (MN) via Pio

X, 2 – 46010

Our first suggestion is a

traditional inn (locanda)

WiFi-Free Areas

The service centres in the galleries between Halls 2-3 (Castelvecchio Service Centre), 4-5 (Erbe Service Centre), 6-7 (Arena Service Centre), 10-11 (SignoriService Centre) are served by WiFi free zones

The reference network (SSID) is called VeronaFiere_Free with WPA key: veronafiere Access to the free network (galleries only) 1 .use your device to access the VeronaFiere_Free network 2.enter the WPA/PSK key: veronafiere

very near Verona, in Curtatone

in the province of Mantua.

Order local cured meats (salumi),

Gonzaga salad, pike in sauce, but

above all, wonderful filled pasta,

such as squash tortelli. There’s a

selection of fish dishes and a vast

wine cellar with excellent labels

and many biodynamic wines, all at

very reasonable prices

Du De Copegalleria Pellicciai, 10 - 37121 Verona (VR)

If you have a yen for pizza, we

suggest dinner at Du De Cope,

right near Piazza delle Erbe in

the center of Verona. You’ll find

exceptional pizza, thanks to a

selection of very high quality flours,

artfully worked dough and excellent

toppings. Order the pizza with

buffalo mozzarella,
